Looking forward to it. I've always loved the 78-81 Camaros. Dad and I wanted one for a project but the 2 we looked at were rotted pieces of fecal matter on wheels. Bought a 63 Fairlane instead. Sold it in 2013 after I failed 8th grade. That's was the deal I was forced into. Kick myself daily.

 

Needed floorboards. Had the original 260 (someone put a 4 barrel carb and headers on it) and the 2-speed Fordomatic.

One last post for the night. I still haven't found my Dad's Bronco. Figured I'd spare details. It had a 351 CID (or 5.8l for those who use the metric system, which is everyone now) with a Holley 4barrel carb, a C6 automatic trans, "true" dual exhaust. I seriously wish I could find it. Dad sold it in the Spring/Summer of 2004 (I have a feeling it was July 2004), and I KNOW it was on the local craigslist in 2008 (really wish there was a way to dig the ad up- wayback machine doesn't have it) because A. Here in the Detroit area, I've never seen another 1984 painted like this- Hell, I don't think I've seen another Bronco painted like this PERIOD. And B. all the details matched up too damn well to be a coincidence.

I really like old Broncos, I really wish that Ford would make a modern day version of it.

 

I went to a local Bmw owners season opener meet & cruise today. Almost 40 cars total showed up at one point despite a brutal wind and cool, cloudy conditions, made for an awesome cruise too.

I'm gonna buy a replacement trunk lid for the V70, but I don't know if I should get it with a wing or without it.

I'm also gonna remove the rails on the roof, will make it look clean IMO, what you guys think?

Thinking about going back to the original Silver, or going with a nice bright yellow. The more I look up the car in colours, the more ideas I get, Planning on staying away from Red and Black.

yes, tbh i'm kind of surprised because it tends to be overshadowed by the 240z and 510 when it comes to classic Datsuns

 

actually it's all there, just taken apart. after it gets sanded and repainted it will pretty much be done.

I've always been a fan of Datsun/Nissan and in general, classic FR roadsters, Honda, Austin Healey, Triumph, Alfa Romeo, etc.

Yah

 

I wouldn't bother with coilovers personally. At almost any price point you can get superior performance from a decent spring and shock combination by eschewing adjustability. If you chose well you wouldn't need to adjust height anyway.

 

A decently paired spring and shock combo at ~£500 (my current favourite is Koni Sports or FSDs depending on how crap the local roads are, with Eibach Pros) will wipe the floor with comparably priced coilovers 99% of the time.

Chevy 350 CID bored .030 over, flat top pistons, competition 270 degree hi-lift cam, and Z28 valve springs.

 

TH350 3-speed auto trans with a shift kit.

 

But thats all I know for now, the previous owner didn't give me alot of info on whats original and whats not. Still finding things here and there. Performance is all around what you would expect for a base model Firebird I guess. Nice Camaro by the way.
