The thing is I rarely use the paddles, and the way they built them into the the steering wheel is great, it doesn't stick out. I'm driving it like a full auto most of the time.

Probably what I least like about the various SMG's. 90% of the time, they're driven in full-auto mode. Most people that have them don't use them. At least with a full manual, you're forced to drive it.

Agreed. I hear all these dumb kids with their Kia Optima's saying how they have a "manual mode". Bitch, if it doesnt have a clutch, it ain't MANual, and I know you're in full auto 100% of the time anyways. Some cars are good with flappy paddles, but the lack of a manual is the main thing that turns me off of a car

Can't clutch-kick without a clutch pedal afterall.

Bitch, if it doesnt have a clutch, it ain't MANual, and I know you're in full auto 100% of the time anyways. Some cars are good with flappy paddles, but the lack of a manual is the main thing that turns me off of a car - ex. Nissan GT-R. Damn shame the new GT3 RS only comes in PDK. I get that it's faster, but I'd rather be a tenth of a second slower and having more fun. Not that I could afford a GT-R or GT3 RS anyways, but you get the point. If I see a nice car, look inside, see its an 'automatic manual' or whatever the hell, I assume it belongs to a female who knows absolutely nothing about the car (except as a status symbol, of course), whose father/husband bought it for her. Ugh. Everytime I see a stupid bimbo driving a brand new 911/Ferrari/Corvette in auto mode I lose a little hope for the car community. End f*ckin' rant.

That said, if you're enthusiastic and knowledgeable about your car (and don't buy it because it's "cool" or popular), you're OK in my book, transmission choice irrelevant colgate.gif

Lovin the hood yngwie, now back up the looks with some crazy power devil.gif

Anyways, here she is, haven't been washed in 3 weeks confused.gif

Thanks, she came with 425hp stock it has a full exhaust

Long tubes, catless mids, thrush glass packs then stright to the rear. Typical K&N cold air and a custom tune. Next year if I can save up enough she'll be getting a 440 stroker kit, 90mm throttle body, cam and new heads.

Nicee, props for actually buying the SRT8 and not just getting the base V6 and putting the SRT8 emblems on, like I see way too f*cking often here in SoCal mad.gif

Hell yeah, just the downpipe or the full TBE? You should get it pro-tuned if you haven't already, I hear it makes a world of difference Shifty41s_beerhatsmilie2.gif I'm still stock but hopefully getting the Accessport pretty soon.

Was bored with friends and decided to try something new:

I don't think I've ever seen a stock WRX/STI in recent memory. My friends all seem to drive them and everyone of them seems to be stage 2 (either Cobb or Perin). Pretty fast cars for sure. Though after being around so many, they start to feel a bit tame. It seems like they have a bit safer threshold than most cars with that kind of power. I guess the lack of tail-happy impending doom makes them a bit less thrilling at the limit.

I'm liking the color consistency.

Here's a decent photo of the Mini, no Instagram filters this time.

Nah thats not mine. If I had, you guys would've probably been the first to know. It belongs to the owner of the car wash. My whole family brings their cars to his place so we give him a sh*t-ton of business. He was nice enough to let me keep the cars there during the typhoon but don't worry, the keys aren't with him.

If you had included your 7 series and your S-Class in that shot, then I'm fairly certain the average user would have been entirely convinced that you were part of the Triads. tounge.gif

Yep, the warranty is basically the only thing keeping me from going stage 2. Gonna ease into it with stage 1 and see how long I can last before giving in and going with a full turbo back for that rumble Shifty41s_beerhatsmilie2.gif And agreed, I got used to the acceleration pretty quick and it grips like a motherf*cker. I've resorted to driving with TCS off all the time and entering corners way faster than I should to get some drama hahaha. Sometimes I wish I went with RWD for the thrills, but I like being able to push it to its limit without having to worry too much about a wrapping it around a tree. And pretending to be a rally driver is fun as f*ck lol.gif

@Outcast: Somethings wrong with me when I'm more excited by that Silvia than your mafia line up of badass cars blush.gif You should get one just to chuck it around turns without worry, hahah.

It's occurred to me I haven't actually put up a picture of my new daily yet. It's not really been used much since I got it, but I took it out for a long (200-mile) run down lots of country back roads through Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire. Great fun.

Few things need sorting on it. Seems to have a bit of a boost leak at WOT, suspect the diverter valve is the root cause of that. I've got a replacement uprated one waiting to get fitted. Climate control isn't blowing very cold, suspect this is just needs a regassing and will get that done when I have it serviced.

I was very pleased with how the car performed. I drove 7 hours to get there Thursday, beat the hell out of the car and then drove 7 hours back home Friday after the event. I'll post up some Vids when they become available in the next couple days.

My wins:

Dinan stage 5 stroker 550xi by SEVERAL cars

JBE tuning "big turbo" Audi S4 by ~3 cars

bolt-ons E92 M3 DCT by SEVERAL cars

Undercover Tuning turbo SMG E46 M3 by ~3 cars

Heffner TT Audi R8 by over 3 cars(it ran VERY inconsistently and much slower than everyone anticipated)

Losses:

Undercover Tuning single turbo supra by 1-2 cars

ESS tuning 600 kit supercharged DCT E90 M3 by about a car. He told me he was on race gas but I don't know if he was runnning an aggressive race gas tune or if he was just using it to be more consistent on a pumpgas tune. I was VERY happy to keep up with that car because it was a DCT and for a 6MT to hang with it takes a lot of power.

The run with the ESS M3 i threw a VANOS CEL and it caused a "limp" code at the end of the run. I cleared the codes and the car ran perfectly afterwards, at 75K miles the VANOS solenoids probably need a cleaning.

I like pick ups a lot, probably cuz we don't really have them over here in Europe. Do you have any pics of the interior? I've always been curious about the the half doors in the back.

Where in Europe don't you have pickups??? tounge.gif

Where i live, easter europe or scandinavia, we have them pretty much everywhere, mostly used as a work truck. Ford Rangers and Toyota Hilux's and Mitsubishi L400s are regular here, also there quite many Dodge RAMs. The smaller the pick up tough, the better, because the streets here are quite small and thight.

I was alluding to the general culture we have in Europe. Pickups are definitely not as popular as in the States.

No i will not.

Look, I've been doing my darndest to ignore you because you're an insufferable little sh*t. I would highly appreciate it if you would do the same. Obviously nothing anyone has said to you here has penetrated that thick skull of yours so please just allow me to spend my time here without having to respond to any of your posts. Before you go ahead and get the wrong idea (as you doubtless will), I'm saying stay the f*ck out of my way and I'll stay out of yours. Simple.

They are a rarity in Western-Europe.

Could be, i believe larger minibus like trucks are used more often there. Things like Transit that have a bed. More space, and the car's not that big either. Ofc those are used everywhere.
