Bought this 1989 BMW E30 318i. The engine, electrics, and interior are all in very good condition. No rust or structural issues, no rips or tears on the seats except for 3 small holes in the rear. All

Thanks. Yeah, not as much anymore. I use 2 different usernames for forums evh5150vanhalen and yngwierocks. Eddie van halen is the reason I play guitar, yngwie is my second.

EVH and Kirk hammett are the guys that got me into guitar. Since then I've gotten more into progressive/melodic stuff but those guys are still my heroes.

That's well up there on my list of "fun cars to replace my dull Audi estate with". I drove a 280bhp remapped one a while back and it was sensationally good.

 

Still prefer the 6 MPS though.

Yeah, it's a pretty fun car as it is. He's just going to do a tune and a couple bolt-ons and call it a day.

I looked at an 09 MS3 a couple of years ago for my mom. It was nice but ultimately decided it was more than she needed and a bit more than we wanted to pay. Settled on a normal 06 2.3 5 speed sport hatchback instead. As bad as the NA 2.3 car torque steers, I think one with 115 more hp would be an absolute handful, even with a proper LSD. I still wouldn't mind a first gen MS3 though. Got a couple friends with them. As much as I'd like to try out the 2.5 of the new gen, they really have buttugly fish-faced proportions.

No doubt the first gens look better, but they're strarting to get some age on them and hard to find with low miles and not abused.

I had the same model, but previous series before. Looks much better now. This is no longer the little brother of a Golf. It is a Polo! tounge.gif

 

VW is expensive in it's class I think, but I never had troubles with the cars only with the company itself I had. wink.gif

 

I was thinking about a Opel Corsa, Suzuki Swift, Ford Fiesta, Mercedes A class or Seat Ibiza. I choose this VW because giving the old VW back was much easier then. Benz A class, still a little out of range. f*ck that!

^ With a little tuning this was the best Golf ever, shaped like a female, nice curves. Some of them I saw really looked bad-ass. I was a huge fan of the R32 variant. A monster car. You may have been a fan of my old tuned 1991 Corrado.

 

By the way, nice sig you have. Somehow, it fits perfectly to my. harhar

Spec? I used to run a ~200whp Lysholm supercharged '91 G60 until the engine grenaded.

Sadly unknown. I didn't tuned it myself and the tuner never measured anything. It was a 1.8 G60 USA re-import, mainly only with a major engine overhaul. It was sold with 204 HP, but felt like much more.

It had also reduced weight due to dismounted interior, it was basically a racing car - no interior behind the front seats, just the blank chassis. It wasn't really finished but I had to sold it rapidly.

It gave me backaches very soon because it literally had no more suspension. Gas prices in 2008 also very dramatic to that date and I lost my job. A lot turned into sh*t that time! bored.gif

If I only had a second junk ride to that time I would never ever have sold it. Anyway, a fun car - but hard to ride on casual streets every day. Pretty stupid in that position to buy such car.

Looks good. The black hides the bumper gap for a second and then you start to notice it more. Needs those relocation brackets asap.

It's actually not that bad. That's the Escalade bumper bolted to the GMC lift brackets at the top and kind of clamped in place by the tow hooks at the bottom. It holds pretty well and will work for now, but I'll definitely get the right brackets made later to tuck it up a little tighter.

 

 

Escalade ESV (right) first gen is something unseen.

Yes sir. Going to get started on the body cladding this week if I can find some time.
