Sivi - I live in the UK - I drive a W140 S class from 1998 ..cost 4500 back in 2006 worth only about 800 now.

 

You can get old 5 litre Mercs for basically nothing in the UK. They are unloved due to fuel consumption.

 

Chris CJ , I would recommend the W140 over the W126 - much greater technology , refinement etc.

Im studying for mechaninc.. so i got free work shop prettymuch plus i can store one of my cars there in the vinter (the Fiat)

Chris CJ , I would recommend the W140 over the W126 - much greater technology , refinement etc.

More expensive repairs, harder to work on yourself, arguably not as durable, don't look near as cool, etc. I'd rather have the W126, especially in 560 guise.

I own a black Seat Toledo (1997).

 

Apart from the rims, the sound system and the LPG system (very economic) that I installed on it,

it's nothing special, but I am emotionally attached to it.

 

And as long as I am studying at the University and don't have a job, I can only feel lucky for owning a car.

currently driving this [Freelander 2 mark 2... mainly me, but family car.. [same colour... HSE model]

 

had these two for a month as test cars... same colour as photo

 

all in all land rover is SH*TTT.

 

Freelander has given me problems as soon as i got it [from new]... 4th time its been to repairs [hopefully fixed].

Evoque is even worse then Freelander. Only 5k miles on the clock and there's water dripping from roof during rain [top carpet is soaked]

Discovery is okay.... very sluggish and tight steering. can't turn corners for sh*t... totally not a town car.

 

anyone thinking of getting a land rover, don't. get a Hyundai or Toyota instead.

Camaro 2SSRS, used to be black with orange strips, now its matte grey with carbon fiber kits here and there, black strips with orange lining, and black mate rims.

Damn Chris, you are a lucky bastard. I really like the new Mazda 6, havent seen one yet, but from pics the bodyshape is very graceful, long and powerful. I like the chrome details on it too, makes it look more expensive...altough it is quite expensive. So damn again, lucky guy.

yeah, it's a wunderful car, but very expensive indeed.

Even with my well-paid job, I had to think a few times before buying it.

1993 FWD Subaru Impreza L. I got it as a first car in December at 150,000 mi. for $1,100. It had a clutch shudder which has turned into a full blown failing clutch. Adjusted the engagement point to prevent slipping till I have a new clutch installed soon. The clutch plate is warped or something so since that adjustment was made a loud violent vibration comes through the clutch pedal. Be in neutral, rev it up, and you can notice it as well. Hasn't affected how it drives except the slipping being cured but it has me nervous using it at all. Color is so ugly too lol.
