It looks excellent, altough i just hate those US bumpers. Soooo pointy, it just doesn't look as good with those. Otherwise it's awesome.

I know they stick out real far, and of course the euro bumpers always look better, but I don't really see anything "pointy" about them at all.

Just wrong choice of words I guess.

Yeah, you're right. Pointy isn't the best word biggrin.gif Sorry.

Well, to be fair, there aren't a wealth of words I can think of to describe that.

"Protruding" maybe?

Or I could just make one up and say the bumpers are all "stickyouty". tounge.gif

I'm going to tuck my bumpers by drilling out the shocks, draining the oil, and pushing them in. But I've been waiting on replacing my front rubber strip first. I think it will look really good after that, and be over half a foot shorter overall. It will look good.

Also, near 27 year old original 535i suspension is stupidly soft. Hopefully will have some SPAX adjustable struts, some adjustable IE M5 diameter sways, and a set of poly bushings by this time next year.

Good call, that will look pretty nice, and cheaper than euro bumpers.

I figured you had suspension stuff planned, that sh*t looked crazy though.

Lurch, i think that look would suit better, i really like it. That makes it look more powerful biggrin.gif

You can also see where I'm starting to paint the interior trim to match the Shale seats, console, and door panels.

Sounds like a great idea, I never realised the original US bumper is so protruding.

My project car! A 1973 Chevy Nova (picture taken last winter). My regular car at the moment is a 1995 Subaru Legacy, but most of my money goes into this. My plan is to one day make it look exactly like the Nova in the movie Deathproof. I already got it primered, now I just need to get it painted jet black with that skull on the hood, and a donald duck hood ornament. One day, my dream shall be fulfilled! icon14.gif

WOW...god i wish i had such a project car. I think i would even sleep in it biggrin.gif Death proof car is a great idea, it's quite easy to do also. What engine do you have in that beast?

Yeah, I am pretty lucky to have it. The guy I bought it from didn't want to give it up that easily. Took about a month for us to decide on a good deal of about $1,500. And it's rocking a 6 cylinder. It took me sooo long to get used to driving it because it's a 3-on-a-tree, which means the gear shifter is on the side of the steering wheel. It took me forever to figure out how to even find reverse lol.gif

About a 300mile drive and my gas gauge still shows 3/4 tank. Not too bad considering the 2wd F150 work truck which was also topped off before the trip has less than 1/4 tank left.

And a picture from the Burb near the job site in Lynchburg:

Sorry. But I'm too young to own or drive a car. So I only have my Dad's car to admire. smile.gif

Got a new chin spoiler. Same one that's on the new 6.4 392CI Challengers.

I love your Challenger, but to me the chin spoiler doesn't look right. It sticks out too far and doesn't fit the look of the rest of the car.

All Challengers come stock with the chin spoilers, all I did was upgrade to the newest SRT one. I didn't like how the old one went flush with the bumper on the sides and then has a flimsy piece on each wheelwell, this one is all one piece and stronger.... Here's a pic of the. Old one.

And those 2 ports on the spoiler if anybody is wondering, they're functional brake cooling ducts.

Something about this picture makes the bumper look even bigger than usual. Really need to get that thing tucked.

Decided to take the opportunity to get some pictures whilst the weather was decent (proving quite rare this summer). Only change since last time is the new mirrors.

I also notice you have floor mats on top of your better floor mats to protect them...I thought I was the only person who did this. lol.gif

So this is the beast I'm driving now. Taken at a friends house earlier today.

user posted image

What I like about it is the fact that it gets 53 actual MPGs. It's pretty comfortable for a small car, fairly well built and the 1.4 diesel makes it pretty quick. The best part about it is that I only pay 32% of the diesel I put in it, and the car itself costs me a whopping 800SEK per month ($115, £73,50). That's including insurance, tax, service and depriciation.

Oh, and I only keep those KIA/Rio/7-year warranty-stickers on it because you can make a pretty big tax-deduction for "having" to have them on your car and using it outside of work.

What do you mean? Using it for promotional purposes?

I drive that thing sometimes in my driving school. I must say, it looks great, outside and inside. Only thing i don't like is that everything is way too overpowered. The steeringwheel is too easy to manipulate, you can use one finger basically... Hard to keep it straight sometimes. Gears are also easy to manipulate, you can push them in with one finger. Otherwise a neat little car. I drove the 1,2l version, and it lacked power only in a few places, most of the time it had enough power to do everything.

Cursed - I still want your car more than any other in this topic though the seats look like the most unsupportive things ever. They make Pat' L7 seats look like racing seats. Wouldn't be a problem if they weren't in a gocart. Otherwise it looks fantastic.

On the other end of things, there's illusions kia. Sorry man, but you know a car is sh*t when they're offering it in a program where they pay for damn near everything for you to drive it.

I thought the Volvo was awesome. Even the LTD and bro-ham have their hoopty charm. But a Kia. Meh. I guess it gets you from point A to point B very cheap but I guess I expect more out of a car than that.
