Nice score. Always liked miatas. I spent a good portion of saturday riding shotgun at the Dragon in my friend's 94 R on coilovers and 205/50 Yoko S-drives on 15x7's (DD wheel/tires). Was pretty impressed. It's really a beast when it's riding on sticky 225/45R15 R-S3's slightly stretched on 15x9's (track wheel/tires). Total gocart. Aside from obvious lack of headroom, my biggest gripe with them is that the steering wheel is too big to have any knee room. There was spec Miata with a nice small diameter, no airbag Bride steering wheel that looked like it would make one actually be driveable for someone my size. I almost want one.

Nice! What happened to the Metro? (not that I'm complaining, MX-5 beats a Metro in every category other than number of seats lol.gif)

@Starion: Nice MX-5! My mum had one when I was growing up, exact same colour!

@Togrul: I like your sig, I've been seeing people with their cars in their sigs. Maybe all vehicle chat regs should have a special sig with their cars. Would be pretty cool.

Just took these today, note the red stripe running down the side. It looks sh*t but tbh I don't care. Everyone and their mother has an S class and the stripe is there to differentiate it from everyone else's.

This is my least favourite of all the cars. I'll update with pics of the 7 series soon.

It just doesnt have a lot of power for a car that size.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, I'm thinking about switching out the tail lights to the new S Class lights, I don't like the body colour strips running through them.

Wow that stripe does look like sh*t. Like whoever put it on made abslutely no effort at all. Iwould take it off and get it pinstriped and actually follow the belt line. The cars also not really aggressive enough to pull off red. Silver or gold might look a lot better.

I agree, I think it looks absolutely sh*t but its helpful when I step out of the hotel/restaurant/airport and out of a row of S Classes I can immediately identify which one is mine. I rarely drive it anyway, handles like sh*t and no power. Its something the driver drives, and I sit in the back. As a passenger its pretty pleasant but driving it sucks ass.

I think he should have it painted Irish Green with a thick Wimbledon White stripe down the sides. That way it'll match my Suburban when I paint it. ph34r.gif

Hmmmm. Maybe.

Court in the morning, but I should be ordering some parts for my next little mini project tomorrow afternoon.

Hope I don't have to pay that ticket. I could use that money to expand the project.

Thanks. It's imported from Dubai with a cargo plane. But this car is at least 23k $ in our country.

Fitted a new rear numberplate, a red numberplate light cover and put the orange front lenses back on. Small changes but add up to make a difference (In my eyes anyway).

I love that car more and more everytime you post it. If only it had a nice mean 1275 in it.

Perhaps it will one day insurance permitting. The 998 in mine doesn't seem much of a slouch to me, probably thanks to the Stage 2 kit. The only place it really struggles is accelerating up hills. Having never driven a 1275 I don't know how they compare.

just took this today. Its my Infiniti, S600, S350, Lincoln Town Car Limo and 740Li (though you cant really see it as its behind the pillar) in a row.

Btw, I've been saying I had a 745Li. Turns out its only a 740Li. A simple mistake as I forgot what it was.

So how many cars do you exactly have right now? You should write them to your sig. so everybody would know what you have at the moment biggrin.gif

I really like that S600, even if it is a pile in terms of how much it's in the shop. I like the angular lines of the W140 more than the newer stuff. Just seems more classically german.

I know what you mean lurch, it is a shame that its almost un-drivable now. I do know the drivers still take it out once a week for a wash and a short stroll just to keep it going but I have no idea how the hell its going to pass next years MOT as it has to be driven a couple hundred km to the provincial capital for that.

@Sup3

I don't really know tbh, if we count the cars in the household (as in my parents included) then the number really is beyond me especially since my dad buys a lot of random sh*t. He's going through a people carrier phase and so hes bought a Luxgen 7 MPV (to support the domestic market) and a Viano and T5 all custom interiors and sh*t. f*ck people carriers, we have a couple already. I mainly drive my Q45 but I also drive a RAV4 when I want to go incognito

EDIT: btw luxgen is our first home-grown car manufacturer. i'm not too interested in their cars but they do have some cool tech features.

Just kidding. But must be a great ocupation with a large salary indeed. If i'd be as rich, man...my car collection would include all my favourites because most of them are not some million euro supercars or really expensive rarities.

I'd have a sh*tload of Suburbans and GM trucks, a Vette, a Lotus Esprit, and a boat or two.

And I'd probably still do most of the work on them myself. I guess you could say I don't very expensive taste.

Well if I earned as much as €90,000 (54k after tax deductions), I'd probably have two cars: An Audi A8 D3 as a daily runner (especially the 4.2 TDI) and a BMW M3 E90 / BMW M5 E60 as a fun car.

I would like a Bentley Mulsanne as my normal work car, a Porsche Cayenne/Range Rover for my girlfriend and a Toyota GT86/Sube BRZ for the weekend. I'd be pretty content with that.

I do like the Mulsanne, it's bodyshape is similar to other Bentleys but still different, looks great IMHO. The interior of it is just beautiful.

BRZ/GT 86 were told to be quite fun but looked cheap and felt cheap. Materials weren't really something to brag. Also the sound. Otherwise, for a driver, it's excellent. I'm guessing cornering this thing would be a blast.

Subaruwrxfan made a nice video of his BRZ...

Yeah, I doubt you'd be able to buy and run an E60 M5 or E90 M3 alone on a salary of ~£45k and still have enough to live on. E46 not a problem, but E90 or E60? Say you get a 3-year loan for £30k (about the going rate for a decent 58/09 with low mileage and a decent spec) to buy outright, with a reasonable APR you'll pay about £11,000 a year. Two sets of tyres in a year, that's near-as-makes-no-difference £2,000, fuel for 20k miles about £5k, servicing and consumables at least £500 a year, insurance about £2k, tax £400+, plus a general (sensible) reserve fund of about £2,000 for calamities (or £900 a year for a comprehensive extended warranty). At the lowest figures there, that's nearly £22k a year just on financing and running a car. I don't know about you, but if I was driving an M3 or M5 I'd want somewhere to park it safely, plus a house to live in, so lets say £800 a month on rent bare minimum (if you live with other people in a house with secure parking, more if you live on your own), plus £250 a month on bills and council tax. That's another £12,500. I've already written off more 3/4 of my annual pay and I haven't even eaten yet!
