This is my father's car, of course. Mercedes Benz B 180 CDI

109 HP (it has a small turbine, sounds awesome)

It was worth about 40,000 USD, but there were some discounts and stuff, so we got it a lot cheaper - about 33.000.

Color : Lotos Blue

17" rims, 10 prongs.

Sports equipment packet

Interior - beige skin (not really a skin, some imitation, but still some quality stuff)

We bought it back in 2009 and it wasn't driven much - about 10.000 kilometers (I rode a bicycle more than that lol). It was garaged

 

all the time and it was well maintained. Me and my brother waxed it few times, lakh is top class (unfortunately, while he was going to

 

countryside, my father scratched it on few places by branches ).

 

Also, here's his service car (is that right phrase?), Škoda Fabia SDI 1.9 (diesel motor, 63 HP lol), I don't have a pic, sorry but it's like this one:

Doesn't have the alu rims, it's basic equipment pack.

 

It isn't something big, but I have to say it's very quality car for its class. I only wish if it was a bit stronger.

But unfortunately, after 15 years of work in the firm, he has to move to another one, he discharged the Škoda yesterday, so Mercedes is going to be main on the point of impact.

 

Btw, does someone have some older BMW? Eg. from 1995 year and such.

They're Focus Estates, you can't pursue in those anyway, not advanced cars, merely response. Hence why I can drive them! I've only got a standard ticket, not advanced.

 

The advanced cars are Insignias, Skodas and CMPG have Jag XFRs.

UK police cars are rather varied aren't they, those peugeot vans the merseyside police use are pieces of sh*t, they get left for dead. On the other hand i did get pulled in Wigan and the officer who ragged me had a brand new WRX, turned out he was a bit of a petrolhead so i ended up having a good chat with him, tis a shame there's more dickhead officers then sound ones though.

 

BTW, here's a theoretical question for you, say one day somebody was driving a BMW M5 that didn't belong to them and they passed a police car whilst ignoring the speed limit, is there any reason why an officer would not pursue the criminal? I know officers who haven't completed the advanced driving tests can't exceed 100mph whilst in an emergency but surely the officer would pursue?

An officer who has not done an advanced course cannot pursue full stop, NPIA policy so it's national.

 

For any form of pursuit to take place it needs authorisation from the ACR, where the FDO (Force Dispatch Officer, usually an inspector) does a dynamic risk assessment.

 

Chances are it'd be (fake callsigns here);

 

"YM, papa tango 8-1 - vehicle failing to stop for police Fake Road"

"PT81, YM - confirm road, condition, speed and VRN for me - running PNC now standby. All other patrols standby unless urgent"

"Yes Yes YM, Fake Road Northbound junction with Fake Street, speed five zero, fifty miles per hour, road is dry, no clouds no background so far, VRN Foxtrot Alpha 5 5 Tango Whiskey Romeo"

"PT81, YM - confirm advanced driver, advanced vehicle"

"YM, negative negative, standard driver, standard vehicle"

"PT81 - maintain eyeball, DO NOT PRUSUE, instructions from FDO, unsafe - stay within speed and report back until traffic arrive, YM out"

 

I just slam the brakes on, report back, lights off and hit data record - I'm not being prosecuted for dangerous driving because I'm not trained!

 

I understand there is initial pursuit for advanced drivers in standard vehicles, usually I just follow safely and get RPU/Firearms to put in a hard stop for me, easier and they can get from the arse end of the county in 5 minutes on blues, I'm not risking my DVLA licence for a policing purpose!

 

Erm, but car they didn't own, if they had no permission to use TWOC, No insurance, dangerous driving, without due care and attention...

 

That said - if I had to I'd feel perfectly justified in pursuing and attempting to stop a car if they were wanted for something serious!

I don't buy that, sorry. Every police car in the UK has a data recorder installed to measure for POLACCs, so any shunt is recorded and if it's not down as tactical contact it gets pulled up on by Professional Standards.

That i didn't know, so much sh*t goes on in Liverpool that it's hard to pick out what's true or not when you get told stories, there was a shooting not far from mine the other day, rumours went around that some gangsters waited for a lad to leave a gym before he escaped into a vehicle and took chase before being stopped and shot in the stomach, in reality the lad was shot but the story was pure bollocks, turns out he was driving along alone and accidently shot himself, typical dickhead haha.

Oh no, there's driver training. I've done it myself, theory test on the intranet and then a drive with a sergeant, that's how I did it! Before you can even touch a police car before then, save for passenger seat...

heh, no

 

some guy ran a stop sign and went into my fender basically destroying that, the headlight, front bumper, and bending my tie-rod to sh*t.

I ordered a fender off of a Mustang website but I don't have the cash to get it painted yet - same with the front bumper, but you can barely tell unless you stare at it for a while

I wish my dad had an interest in cars, i've always been a car nut but literally don't even know how to do my own oil changes, when i get some more finances then i think i'm gonna do some kinda night course on basic car maintenance and then maybe get myself an nice little banger as a project to learn more.

 

Oh believe me, it took my a lot of convincing to make my dad help me.

He absolutely hates working on my car! Or any car for that matter.

 

He gets mad at me when I order parts for my car.

After I installed my cold-air intake and got a custom tune, he said - and I quote:

 

"Why don't you keep the car stock!? There's no point for all this crap! You're just gonna break it!"

 

Don't feel bad either, man.

I don't even know how to properly change my oil!

I can rotate tires, put an exhaust on, install a CAI, and slap a custom tune on the cars computer!

But I can't change the oil or spark plugs!

 

Luckily, I do have friends that are crazy car nuts like myself!

They come over and help sometimes when I'm stumped.

 

Oh, and I do have a junker "truck" I guess.

It used to be my dad's for work, but someone rear ended him (2009 BMW M3, go figure) and the exhaust went to sh*t and he can't pass inspection.

So now I use it to work on and I gotta haul his ass to work everyday -_-

 

Still debating if I wanna slam it and take the truck to shows (ignore the doors), or make it into a 4x4 beast.
