My old E34 and Mercedes, which i drive now.

 

Love the way they both look. Always thought that gen E oozed class with the way its front end looked like it had a pair of specs on. Slightly snobbish look to it, but still nice. Gotta say I really like the way the E34's rear looks, even moreso than my E28's. That was a just a 520i though so I'm guessing it was a bit of a slug speedwise?

 

 

Finally figured out how to change my computer display from L/100 km to mpg. Driving it like a sane person, I was getting 17.5-19 around town. On the interstate it does mid 20's.

Thanks) Yeah 520 was very slow, it also had an m20 engine, very underpowered and horrible on a gas mileage, i've been getting about 13 mpg around town, worse that your 535 that sucked really bad, since gas is expensive over here. Agree about the front end of E w210, my least favorite part of the car. I'm hoping to get a w211 some time later, looks so much better.

Hadn't really had many miles on it since I reset it. And while I wasn't really going apesh*t at every light, I still wasn't really going easy on it either.

An E34 535i that has the more efficient motronic EFI system and bigger more efficient sized ports has an EPA rating of "City 14/Hwy 22" so I'd say I'm probably not far out of the norm there. Not to mention the car is a bit less aerodynamic and I'm running fatter than stock 225/50ZR16's all around so more rolling resistance. Gotta pay to play afterall. Premium was only $3.69/gallon when I last fueled up the other day so I manage.

Got some more LEDs installed last night. Don't know why the AC controls look so blue in the picture. They're a little bluer than the gauges but not that much.

 

My cat decided she should come explore the Suburban anytime I'm out working on it.

 

 

Edit: I don't know how either of those pictures came out so nice. They were taken with the same sh*tty camera phone I've been using for two years, I guess it's just scared because it found out I'll be getting a Droid soon.

Anyone know of a better place to order them other than DDMTuning?

How do you like the plasti-dip? I see a few people doing it and it seems surprisingly hard to f*ck up.

The plasti-dip works wonders!

I absolutely love it!

 

All I did was take off my wheels, clean them with a wet paper towel, tape off the tire, and go to town with the wheel.

It takes about 30 minutes to dry, and I did 3 coats, no gloss.

and plus, like you said. If you mess up you can just wait for it to dry and peel it off!

 

The other day I drove through a dirt road with rocks and sh*t hitting my car and I experienced no scratches on the wheels, so it holds up pretty well!

 

I'd recommend it!

I have enough left over to do my interior

 

btw, I knocked out all 4 of my wheels using 1 and a half cans, so no need to purchase more than 2 or 3 depending on your project.

haha yeah, i've seen some really bad ones though in my case it seems that it's always been taken care of, so i only got several small spots near grill and front wheel arch.
