i dont like the spoiler and bodykit

what engine?

At least his body kit fits. wink.gif

The Cav is certainly not to my taste. I'd hope it was a turbo (no viable need for that exhaust unless it's whacking out some serious power) but then I'd be rather sad that someone had butchered probably the best saloon Vauxhall ever made.

In my oppinion, there is only one way a modified Cavalier ever looks good.

The sodding huge, sagging gap between the top of the bumper and the bonnet line says differently.

Rieger, how very 1992.

Out of interest, but what size are you wheels? There's some mad wheel arch/wheel ratio going on at the rear, make it look like the rears are about the same size as sofa castors.

You seriously need some spacers for the rear.

According to my imaginary PHD in psychological disorders, I state with sound judgement that the aforementioned poster had an extreme case of fa**otria bullsh*tia.

New front bumper arrived and we filled in the rear one, then resprayed both. Also salvaged a load of parts out of a bent Fiesta, so now it's nearly done:

XR2 interior is in, but what we didn't know was that it's a Mk2 XR2 interior, so some modifications in the form of bending went on in the back to get them to fit in:

Car is pretty much done now, new wheels need sourcing mirrors to go on, centre console and radio is to be sorted out, I need to find the driver's seatbelt stalk as it's gone missing and the seized caliper needs some hammering. There's some other superficial stuff that needs to be done, but it won't take long. Hopefully the spot lights will go on that bumper lol. 1 month until driving test, hopefully I'll be driving it by the end of April!

What wheels you thinking? XR2 pepperports would look good.

Pepperpots would be the ideal wheels to have on it, but I have some RS wheels on a Capri at my Dads. These ones:

But in no where near as good condition!

Few sets of pepper-pots up on Ebay at the moment, some at pretty reasonable prices.

I can drope a couple of texts- a mate of mine runs a 400bhp Mk1 Escort race car so has great links in the Ford scene.

Yeah, I saw the Pepperpots, they're all pretty nice, but most are pick up from pretty far away (I'm South East). I'm sure I'll be able to get them RS ones off the Capri, but if I can't I'll drop you a PM and find out a little more about this friend of yours smile.gif.

This car would probably have a 1.6 non-turbo engine in Europe...

I think you can get them on this side of the pond. Swear I've seen them out and about before, though they could be imports. They did sell the Neon over here, usually seen driven by the elderly.

Yeah, you definitely need to lower it, that's the only thing missing.

When you get finished you'll have quite the finely polished turd.

To complete the look, I'd suggest a low-gloss dookie brown skid-mark racing stripe to complement the overall baby-sh*t green you've got going on!

Yeah, i've had buyers remorse since i bought it like 16 months ago, fortunately my insurance has dropped into the 2k-2.5k range for some more interesting cars. The Escort is pretty fun to abuse though, i have a fair few quiet backroads close to mine so it gets thrown around those quite often, the thing understeers quite badly so it's always fun to go into corners much too fast and test if i can regain control.

It's pretty fun to buy a 300 pound banger and mess around with it. I did that recently with a 518i E34 BMW. Terrible shape, ripped seats but it was pretty fun to abuse it smile.gif Didn't insure or get it tested biggrin.gif

My insurance at the moment is at 2300 quid for a 2.0 TDI Volvo. Waiting for another 3 years and I'll plan to buy a E34 525i 24V. These cars are just amazing.

I'll have it unless I move to the States. If I've ever moved to the States, I would've bought some American V8 with like 200hp in it lol.gif

It was a E34 520i Touring i got the £2250 quote on funnily enough. A 2.0 Mercedes 190e was £2200, that's in my own name though with me ma as a named driver.
