Bought my first car today for $2,500. 1995 Lexus SC300, clean title, no accidents.

Car came with Work Schwert SC4 wheels, an Injen intake, BC Racing Coilovers, Pioneer speakers, Bluetooth/touchscreen head unit, window visors, and it has straight piped exhausts (which are way too loud, gonna try finding a stock exhaust system). It also has black exterior and interior which is pretty rare on these according to some friends, they're usually black with tan interiors.

Nice buy. I do like the Soarers/SC300s, but those wheels, Work or not, need to die in a fire.

At least you'd get plenty of money for them if you sold them.

Yeah, I agree that those wheels are pretty terrible. I'm probably going to go to the junkyard this weekend and pick up some stock GS or IS wheels if there are any.

I recently took delivery of a 2019 Peterbilt 567.

The picture of it I have right now is quite bad so I’ll put a image of one that looks the exact same, only difference is that mine is in white.

these pics were taken over a couple of years.

someone pulled his car in reverse at a green light...

got 2000euro for insurance wich was the decided value of the car so i bought a merc instead of repairing it at a shop

i coulnd sell it either because i love it so much, so i decided to repair it myself.

Remember my green Pug? Well, it's history.

1997-2018 [*]

34palmo.jpg

Courtesy of rust, smashed up front-left wheel bearing, need of general brakes renovation, dying torsion beam, and oil drinking. And the car was worth less than it's insurance fee, so...

Thankfully, mom, being a good mom, has lent me some cash for some new wheels, so I wouldn't have to beg for the Astra every f-ing time.

2n3e4n.jpg

2002 Fiat Seicento, 1.1 MPI 55HP, power windows. The condition for it's age is good (given it IS a Fiat), it's brakes have been serviced, and it's also been undercoated, so the underbody holds on great. I only gotta change the oil with the filter and the right half-shaft's sealant (the latter two are leaking).

Clean looking SC, makes me miss my Soarer I had many years ago. A friend of mine has 2 SC's and one is a black on black 400 which is one of two I've ever seen in person, but it makes for an awesome combo for sure. From my experience though I'd recommend finding a nice pair of aftermarket mufflers cause I think you'll find the OEM way too quiet. The one thing I didn't like about my Soarer was just how quiet it was - especially considering it had a pair of turbo's on it lol.

Swapped over to my winter's & installed a remote starter to top off my winter prep this year a few weeks ago.

Drove a 2005 Fabia 1.9 SDI. You could eat a sandwich, drink a beverage and have enough time to use a table napkin by the time you overtake someone. Aside from that, those engines are invincible. Without a turbo, there's pretty much nothing major to break on those. Pretty neat you got a bargain, have fun. :D

VROOM VROOM COCKSUCKER DELIVERIN PIZZA AND MAKIN GOOD TIPS $$$$$ IN MY 33 YEAR OLD AUTOMOBILE

@stinomontana my coworker has a Del Sol like yours except it's white and he absolutely swears by it. It's also rusted as f*ck in some spots and he wants to get it fixed. I suggested that if it were an older car, he could just get new panels, but you can't since the Del Sol is unibody. Any suggestions or no?

It is slow, true. Me and my pals used to call these:

Super Diesel Indestructible

No turbo, no dual-mass flywheel, very simple construction. Slow as a mule, but these things will outlive us surely. My buddy had a Mk3 Polo 1.7 SDI. Despite hard treatment, it never let him down until the day he sold it.

is it rusting in the wheel arches? or next to the wheel arches?  i would suggest cutting the rusted piece out and welding a new piece of sheetmetal into it.

del sols are prone to rust in those area's, mine has some rust aswel

Nah, just on the body shell on the side and right around where the spoiler is mounted to the trunk. It's just cosmetic stuff

There was a video series in the Car Throttle channel about an 1.9 TDI Octavia that made over 400k miles. It was restored and the guy who owned it drove it after restoration, it was crazy seeing that lol

As for the topic, do the family car count? I don't have mine yet

The TDI in post war period on these grounds is what Zastava 750 was during the time of Yugoslavia - it moved the masses, offered affordable transportation possible for everyone, while being highly reliable, unlike Zastava. :D Definitely over-engineered engines.

And yes family cars count, knock yourself out.
