setting PS2 controls on PC

i bought a USB adapter so i can use a PS2 contoller with my PC san andreas, but the button configuration is confusing me. i downloaded a copy of the [email protected] button settings, but i cant seem to set them all correctly. cans someone map out the button configuration so i can play the PC version with a PS2 controller?

I've got the radioshack usb adapter...

 

Triangle = Button 1

Circle = 2

X = 3

Square = 4

L1=7

R1=8

L2=5

R2=6

Select=9

Start=10

Left Analog Pressed = 11

Right Analog Pressed = 12

 

I had to invert the right analog to make up/down left/right work properly. D-Pad works like the analog so it's useless but you can just use keyboard buttons for unimportant commands.

youre more than screwed. here are the exact setups for the PS2 version:

however, these setups do not account for a lot of the crap you need to setup in the PC version. and the worst problem is most of the actions cannot be bound to the same control (stupid). the last, and worst problem is that you cant bind ANYTHING to the D pad. its automatically sensed as an alternative to the left thumbstick. double stupid.
