Death-Speak
Have you updated all of your drivers (video, motherboard, sound, etc..)? Where does the game get stuck at? How much memory does your ATI Radeon 9500 non pro have? FYI: ATI released spankity new drivers today for Radeon's. Get them here: https://support.ati.com/ics/support/default...dge&folderID=27 DS

e0ytk
THis is annoying isn't it, I actually already installed the new ATI 5.6 drivers and they make no difference I also just installed the latest Omega drivers, they too, make no difference for graphical problems like disappearing peds. Also turning your sound from hardware accelerated to none, or any other opton makes no difference, the sound will still cut out. Best advise, bite your lip and hold out for a patch like I am
Death-Speak
I've read on other forums about the disappearing peds. I thin you can turn your res down to like 800x600x16 and they will reapper. It sucks, but its better than not playing until a patch hits the web. I have read alot folks having probs with the NVidia 5700's and the ATI 9600's both in 128 Mb flavors. Maybe we can get a patch or something, but until them maybe jsut experiment. Also, if your running anything like Window Blinds or anything that alters or enhances your windows gui, you need to turn it off because those are causing major probs with GTA:SA too. Death-Speak
I wish there was something else I could tell you man. I do not know what the problem could be. It seems like you meet the hardware requirements, and if your drivers are up to date, then it should work. Otherwise you may have a bad piece of hardware. It could your PSU, video card, motherboard. Rafaelm
I had the same problem with my ati 9800pro 128Mb, It stucked all the time during 3D applications. So I take my pc to fix and they discovered that my two 256mb memory cards was incompatible with my motherboard (sounds strange, but its true). Then they changed to one 512 Mb memory card and fixed, Now my video card does't stuck no more.
