Bluesman
I just got San Andreas, and i came to the unpleasant suprise i can't play the game i just paid 50 f*ckin balls for. My comp: P4 1.7 Ghz 512 mb ram Geforce 3 Ti200 plenty of HD space (like 20 gb or so) It's all virus, spyware and adware free. Believe me. There is nothing on my comp that shouldn't be on there. Also, i closed all processes and services that the game doesn't need. (ie internet, virus scanners, spool service etc....) Yet the game runs like sh*tE. Even in 640x480 and everything on low it's unplayable. While it looks the same as vice city (except for some effects like heat blur and stuff), which runned in 1024x768 with everything on max just perfect. Thanks rockstar north! Minimum System Requirements: 1GHz Intel Pentium III or AMD Athlon Processor 256MB of RAM 8x DVD-ROM Drive 3.6 GB of free Hard Disk space for a minimal install 64MB Video Card with DirectX 9 compatible drivers ("GeForce3" or better) DirectX 9 compatible Stereo Sound Card Keyboard & Mouse Recommended System Requirements: Intel Pentium 4 or AMD Athlon XP processor (or better) 384(+) MB of RAM 16x DVD-ROM drive 4.7 GB of free Hard Disk space for a full install 128(+) MB Video Card with DirectX 9 compatible drivers ("GeForce4" or better) DirectX 9 compatible Surround Sound Card Game pad with twin axis analog controls (USB or Joystick Port) Keyboard & Mouse I'm well into the recommended specs with my system except for the 3d card, which is heavily overclocked. I run Half Life 2 with it no problems in 1024x768 on medium no problems at all.
Neo-K 182
they didn't lie about the specs, that's what it needs. it's probably something with your video card, did you try installing the newest drivers?
DeathSquad
Not to bump a topic nor get a touch side tracked off its topic, I figured I'd take up space in here for my question rather than start yet another two message thread. I'm sure my "hopes" will be shattered but before I buy the game I wanted to get an opinion on if my computer could handle it or not. I don't have a ps2 and can't say that I got to really play the game, of course all others... Sadly I got the "top of the line" computer right before DVD drives became somewhat standard eq. Also my graphics card is nothing more than a gerbal in a wheel, so I know this will be the toll of the death bell. 1.4gig P4 256mb Ram Geforce2 MX/MX 400 Don't know of the old girl would do it. I'm sure the replies will be no it won't, it'll burst into flames and a hail of sharpenal due to your puny card. Maybe if someone else has dared to try a G2. Anyways comes down to spending lots of money on upgrading my aging Dell 8100, or buy a new dell that'll explode into flames and a hail of sharpenal due to their now shoddy work. Peace. EDIT: Wow, guess the action on the forum kicked up, figured since this was mid-page it was old, I need to stick my head out of the modding area more often. Well, i'm pretty sure it won't run the game properly... sorry
