Cran.
I'd really like a New shelby mustang when it comes out.. but it's not like it will ever make its way over here.. Some others i'd like would be some kind of HSV, A Jaguar XJR X300/X308/X350, Skyline R34 (Not riced up, please), 300C, BMW 7 Series (Prev. gen like Pav had). Man, don't complain about me wanting a R34, since they are very nice cars until you rice them up like no tomorrow.

~Giggle~
The design brief for the McLaren F1 was a refreshingly simple one: to create the greatest supercar ever built. For the team led by design director Gordon Murray money was, effectively, no object - McLaren wanted to make a car to draw clear parallels with the company's F1 heritage and take a share of the then-booming supercar market. The statistics say it all: 627 bhp, a top speed of 231 mph and a pricetag (including VAT) of £634,500. Unfortunately, by the time the F1 went on sale in 1994 the extreme supercar market had crashed and volumes were only a fraction of those anticipated: just 100 road-going cars were sold before production finished in 1997. From first principles the McLaren F1 was designed to be a road car - rather than a race car gentrified for road use, unlike many of its rivals which were designed around the 'GT1' racing formula. Design director Gordon Murray was determined to push technical boundaries with the project, leading to such innovations as the use of a carbonfibre monocoque structure, active aerodynamics and even plans (abandoned at the last minute) to offer ceramic brakes that would not appear in other supercars for another decade. The mid-mounted engine was built by BMW specifically for the F1, a 6.0 litre normally aspirated, all-alloy V12 that produced 627 bhp at 7400 rpm and driving the rear wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox. Other technical innovations included an active 'air brake' flap that rose at speed plus the use of gold as an insulating material on the engine bulkhead. Even the stereo system was designed specifically for the car, the creation of all-new speaker magnets necessary to meet Murray's stringent weight targets. The original ambition of a sub-1000 kg kerbweight proved unobtainable, but, turning the scales at just 1140 kg, the F1 was still one of the lightest supercars ever built. In power-to-weight terms, nothing has ever beaten it. From an aesthetic point of view the F1's elegant design has stood the test of time very well. Even a decade on it looks far less dated than bulky contemporaries such as the Jaguar XJ-220 or Bugatti EB110. Design work was done by Peter Stevens who gave the car its elegant, flowing lines: large wings or spoilers were considered but rejected - the F1 relies on ground-effect aerodynamics to keep it stable at high speed. In packaging terms, the primary requirement was the need to accommodate the F1's unique three-seat system, with a centrally-mounted drivers' seat with space for one passenger on each side. This was done by the wide cabin and 'cab forward' design with access made through upwardly opening gullwing doors. All of McLaren's Formula One know-how was put into making the F1 the ultimate driver's car. Design director Gordon Murray was determined that the minimum amount of interference should come between the driver and the car, meaning the F1 does without power assistance for steering or brakes, traction control or even ABS braking. Suspension is handled by race-car like double wishbones at each corner with pushrod-activated coil springs. Grip levels are very high but the McLaren displays exemplary handling characteristics at the limit thanks, in large part, to chassis set up by such test drivers as Mika Hakkinen and Dr. Jonathan Palmer. Some contemporary road tests criticised the unassisted steering for being too slow to react, but others praised the amount of feel that gets through to the helm. As an incidental note, an F1 took victory in the 1995 Le Mans 24 hours race, despite having been designed from first principles as a road car. The most amazing thing about the McLaren F1 is the period for which it has dominated the supercar world. Almost a decade after production stopped, no other car has come close to challenging the remarkable figures produced by the magnificent V12 engine. And this side of the long overdue Bugatti Veyron W16 (with 987 bhp) nothing is likely to. From a standing start the F1 breaks the 60 mph barrier in just over 3 seconds, gets to 100 mph in just 6.5 seconds and continues past the 200 km/h (124.5 mph) benchmark in 9.8 seconds from rest. Top speed, limited by gearing, is claimed by McLaren at 231 mph. To put those figures into some kind of perspective, the F1 is almost six seconds quicker to 186 mph than the Mercedes McLaren SLR is. In the history of the supercar, nothing else has come close. Considered against its astonishing performance, the F1 actually is surprisingly practical. Almost uniquely among supercars it offers the capacity to carry two, rather than just one, passenger. The central driving position works well, too - and it is possible to use one or both of the passenger seats for luggage. A specially tailored set of bags was sold alongside the car to make the most of the F1's limited luggage space. One of Gordon Murray's few concessions to comfort was the fitment of air conditioning and a CD stereo - although the F1 has no radio. The McLaren F1 was born to a curious set of circumstances - the supercar boom of the late 'eighties and early 'nineties. Commercially it was not a success: the original plan had been to sell 350 road-going versions and the final build was barely a third of that. The F1's sky-high pricetag also ensured that only the very richest would ever get an opportunity to enjoy ownership of it. But the strength of its case cannot be denied - and on almost all of the criteria by which we judge supercars the F1 still stands head-and-shoulders above its more recent competition. It is the ultimate supercar.
