Save Game Fix Gta San Andreas

Recommended Posts

Actually, what exactly the problem is?

gtac_madlib just said it in his first post

It's a problem with your username with windows. He says it has something to do with having a , or something like that in username.

in other words, the gta_sa.exe or the save game files are only corrupt because it cant read your user name!!

o boy... rockstar messed up on that one, o well, hopfully an offcial patch will come soon....

Hm, and what does that "patch" fix exaclty? dontgetit.gif

Some people cant load there save games, it says file corrupted or something, this maual fix fixes it

After following the information that was submitted by gta_maclib, I have created an application that simplifies part of the process, ie Registry and Folders. All you have to now do is push a button and all will be created.

You can get it at the following address

http://rapidshare.de/files/2280624/gtase-s...ixauto.zip.html

Enjoy.

P.S If you do not know how to use rapidshare, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the “free” button. You will then be taken to a new page where you may have to wait between 5 seconds and one minute for the file to become available before you can download it, look at the bottom of the page for this infomation.

whatsthat.gif Hi Everyone!

I've experienced no problems with my savegames, because I always move "My Documents" to another drive (Other than c:) whenever I install Windows. This is mainly to prevent me from accidentally deleting everything in it, if I have to reformat C: and start again because of an unfixable corruption in WinXP, etc.

If "My Documents" is made the same location for all Users of the PC, when GTA - San Andreas is installed, it should work fine...

NOTE: This is only recommended if you are only User of the PC or trust everyone else with access to your Documents.

I just tried it and it works great. The only thing I had to do was manually create the Gtasasav folder in Documents and Settings and move the User Files from My Documents.

Thanks a lot, madlib - Now I can actually play the game out.

Thanks man that helped a lot biggrin.gif

If a BSOD is happening this fix will not fix it. This fix will fix if you save a game and reopen it and it says "File Corrupted". It wont be "corrupted" anymore and will open normally.

If you cant find personal maybe its because your OS isnt in english (????)

Hey,

I also have the problem with my corrupted save games and I'm happy that I finally found a solution

but ... I can't get the fix to work because when i try to change personal to gtasasav i can't edit it it just stays

personal

what should I do ?????

thx
