molloni
Well, I looked, but I didn't see it - I am a bit blury-eyed though, so I'm sorry if I missed it. I'm playing on PC and I've got this wicked annoying bug where the cut scene animations do not sync up with the voice track. The animation and sub-titles are synced, but the sound is ahead by as much as 5 seconds. This is really bothersome. Is anyone else having this problem. If you had this problem, what did you do to fix it? I've got a Pentium 4, 3.4MHz; 512kb RAM, GeForce 6800. It's not like the video is lagging, it's just that the audio is starting sooner...? GTA3Freak-2001
Hmm can you try changing audio options and see if that does anything. Oh and I think you mean 512MB not 512 kb of RAM lol
Alxwin
I was just looking for someone with this problem, and than I saw this topic. I have exactly the same problem as you have, and haven't found a way to solve it yet. It is really anoying! Any suggestions anyone??
xFingolfinx
In my case the video is going faster than the sound (probably the sound going slower than the video) so they start ok but ends out of sync. I managed to fix it ONCE ... no Idea how ... but now it's bugged again. And yeah I tried the usual: Updating video/audio drivers, upgrading/downgrading DirectX, setting windows sound setting to headphones or to 5.1, Changing Hardware Acceleration, updating codecs, killing all process even Explorer before running the game, etc etc ... pilzner
I was having sound problems with the rain, and then I used DxDiag to turn hardware acceleration OFF (as is suggested quite a few times on these forums). Only when I had it off did the cutscenes get out of sync. Cripeys was it annoying. I turned the acceleration back to full and things worked fine (other then the rain problems, which ultimately I can live with).

Mavisk
Instead of turning hardware acceleration off, change it to basic acceleration. That solved my lip sync problems.

Overture
I found that changing the accelleration only worked for a little while. See if this is your problem. This solved all my problems and I can use full accel. http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=194972 Dave
