qhalid Posted June 24, 2005 Share Posted June 24, 2005 (edited) i have a p3 1gb,300 something ram, adn ad gfx5200 graphic card my problem is when i play gta san andreas the color after 5 minutes bleed, all the texture mixed and being corrupted.when i change the resolution then the texture back to normal, after five minutes the sh**t happens again.. when i update the gfx5200 and tried to play that game its hangs... man..i need some serious help.. There is almost no diffrence between running it on 640x480 and running it on 1280X960... i read that people with computers not as good as mine ran the game better... I have the latest ati drivers and turning the sound to no support on Dxdiag only messes the sound in the game but it seems like the game is slightly faster.... any more ideas on how to make this game look normal?? even VC was better then this. Same here, i use the hot coffee mod and i've finished every "official" missions. I took weight to get that michelle girl but now i can't lose weight anymore because of this bug. i've tried sanfierro and las venturas gym club... It just jams and makes one sound constantly (i think its the first soound of the radio or something...) When this happens i cant do anything except push the reset button wich really upsets me. And since yesterday it jammed twice while already driving a car. I know it must be something with my sound but i have a SoundBlaster Audigy 2 with the latest drivers so i dont get it My specs are: Windows XP + SP2 Amd Athlon XP 1800+ (1533 mhz) 512 mb RAM Ati Radeon 9200se (128mb) I hope someone can help me. I installed GTA:SA as soon as I got it & it ran beautifully, I played it everyday for 3 weeks without a hitch... Then I got stuck on the old Learning To Fly missions so I tried the tip of using Barton's SAMission Builder to pass the mission. I followed the instructions, saved & recompiled the file, booted GTA:SA & it crashes, I try again... it crashes. So I uninstall the game, re-install & it plays fine... the next day it's loading up fine, the GTA:SA Logo & copyright notice comes up as usual after the intro, then all goes black, no game menu & the mouse cursor appears in the center of the screen & that's it, my machine can't be used, I tried the ALT+CTRL+DEL to get out the game... no joy. I tried ALT+TAB... still no joy. I've installed nothing new, when I first got the game I updated all my drivers & it ran from the first install fine, untill this Main.scm edit. Since then, I've re-installed GTA:SA 6 times, it works fine for 2 or 3 games, then on the next... black screen of death & I have to RESET my PC to return to normal. Anyone have a problem like this where one minute it works, then the next it just won't load the menu. I'm running out of ideas. EDIT: I've just re-installed GTA:SA using the Complete Installation option & everything seems to be working fine for now . I'll keep you posted if the old black screen o' death appears. Status: Unconfirmed Thank you so much this getting directx 9.0b fix worked and fixed my ped glitch which was making me not want to play/mod the game.....
