captainjy
Just wondering everyone's opinion of SA thus far. Anyone know how many missions until you can unlock the San Fiero? I am curious to see what SF looks like! Maybe it's my eyes, but it seems like at times that the graphics go into the hot, vapor looking mode where the images are surrounded in vapor. You know, like it's a really hot day or something. I have a Radeon 9800 Pro with the latest drivers on a 3GH P4 with a GB of RAM. Anyone else see something like this? Anyhow, LOVE the game! Didn't know if I get into the gangster setting, but it's been as good as expected! I have finished about 8-10 missions and hoping to unlock the next section. Happy gaming! Cran.
I love the game, and I have played it on PS2. But I don't own a PS2, and thus have to wait til friday. In Los Santos, I think there is like about 20-25 missions, so you'll be in San Fierro in no time. You'll love SF, one of the best cities. Oh, and after you get sent to the badlands, you will un-lock SF I'm going to have a great time with San An, as I truely hated the graphics on PS2 with it being low res and all. What settings do you have it on? Oh, i'll be playing with max anti alis. and full detail @ 1680x1050x32 on wide screen. /me hugs GeForce 6800 Go. Kas Valentine
Hey captainjy, you say you've done a fair few missions so far, nice work ! Few questions though; Did you get stuck in the changing room of Binco (during the mission where you go there to get new clothes)....? Have you had any problems with saving your game (files corrupting, etc)...? Have you had any problems with your sound effects (cutscenes going too fast, ambient sound drowning out other sound, etc)...? I haven't got the game myself yet (friday ) so I'm just trying to find out which bugs are widespread. Thanks in advance.
Link_BaconBitz
Well I just got it some hours ago and so far it rocks! Looks a thousand times better than the PS2 version. At first the controls worried me cause the movement made me think it was auto aiming like VC with classic controls on, but right clicking brings up the crosshair, letting you shoot at whatever you want. I discovered this with some cops and a shotgun, so the controls are quite good. Haven't had any crashes or bugs, but the performance seems a bit "clunky" when the framelimiter is on, but smooth as silk when off. Overall, I think the game was definately worth the wait. I've been playing the game between work and sleep since yesterday, and I'm really enjoying it. The only complaint I have is the control system, it is a little annoying sometimes (mouselook while driving, aim system etc.), I like the Vice City system better. And coming directly from playing Vice City, the colors are really drab, but VC's were massively embellished. I think it's going to be a pretty fun game. Enjoy. xstevex
I went ahead and bought the pc version, even though I already had the ps2, and so far everything has been working fine for me. The only problem I have come across is that sometimes the voices will get quiet and I can hardly hear them, while the other sounds all stay the same volume. Otherwise, everything is going good. PresidentKiller
Well, I haven't got the game yet, and I won't get it anytime soon (at least in a couple of weeks, I guess). But all these problems, bugs and glitches seem to be very common. I don't know what to think about this....
