Dizzan
Hey, I remember messing with the cars (lowering them, making them faster, etc.) for Vice City on xbox, and you had to change numbers in the handling file, and then delete the GTA_Final_Cap file in order for any changes to be made. Well i noticed that san andreas doesnt have this file... and any changes i made didnt work. Does anyone know how to remedy this?? I know the game just came out but damn there so many cars that are slow as balls (i.e. the greenwood.. which is everywhere) and i would like to beef them up a little. Also i noticed that you can use this file to add hydraulics to any car. I wanna make the whole game nothin but low-low's!!! lol. Any help would be appreciated. Thanx. GTA3Freak-2001
As you said it only just came out so PC modding let alone Xbox modding isn't really looked into much yet, I am sure it will change in the days and weeks to come.

dataschmuck
Its called handling.cfg, its in the data folder. I already changed all my cars to be invincible from collisions because I hate having them catch fire so quickly change the value of column "ab" to 0.00 for no damage. Be sure to make a backup copy of handling.cfg before messing it up.
Zach
change the value of column "ab" to 0.00 for no damage. I suppose I could just try it and see for myself, but I'm curious. Does that file, or rather, the attributes contained within, affect only the car the player is driving, or does it affect all cars?
Manly5000
change the value of column "ab" to 0.00 for no damage. I suppose I could just try it and see for myself, but I'm curious. Does that file, or rather, the attributes contained within, affect only the car the player is driving, or does it affect all cars? All cars of that kind are affected. You know how I had my most fun in GTAIII and VC with changing handling? Set that "damage taken" stat to 0.00 but then also change the car's weight to like 9999999. Bump up the accel, topspeed, and handling to your liking and then just RAM everything in sight at top speed and watch the fun ensue. Nothing like hitting a car and launching it 20 miles into the distance from your impact... Edited June 8, 2005 by Manly5000
sumfuka
Lol In Vice City, you could make the cars accelerate so fast that you could launch into the air and go across the entire city in 10 seconds at the height of a few miles in the air.

The only trainer I ever used was LithJoe's Ultimate Trainer, and I used it specifically for you just described. Hop in car, hit Shift-4 (damage proof car) and then Shift-2 (very heavy car), and then let the mayhem commence. Playing VC the second time through was actually more fun for me because of these effects.
