creatix
Bought it today. I'm running a GeForce FX 5900 Ultra 256 MB vid card. I have updated drivers and updated Direct X stuff. After playing the game for a bit - about 15 minutes or so the screen starts to get blurry. Some areas are still clear but overall there are these hazy lines that scroll up and down the screen blurring the game. Any have this issues or have any recommendations of what settings I may be able to play with to try and remove it. I have a HUGE monitor so I run the game at 1600x1200 32 bit, but I have changed to 16 and 32 bit versions at 1280x1024. Ive turned on/off frame limiter, lowered the visual detail, widescreen on/off etc etc... Im at a loss...any help greatly appreciated. thanks
GTA3Freak-2001
Hmm sounds almost like a V-Sync issue but with it being hard to explain it may not be that espeically if its really noticeable. You couldn't provide a screenshot when it happens could you?
GTAGuy
It's the heat haze that you see. There is an effect of a heat wave rising up during some days on SA.

Natedogg.
No, it's not the heat effect, I have the exact same problem. My game was running fine earlier, I've got GFX quality set to "Low" with resolution of 1024x768. Now my game seems to look fuzzy and grainier than how it was before. Heres a screen: notice the pants on the guy on the right... Edited June 8, 2005 by Natedogg

Colej_uk
You may of already tried this, but try upping the refresh rate or changing the colour depth...
Hammer83
I have the same problem and I have the exact video card that the first poster had. I'll take the screenshot next time it happens. I think turning antialiasing off and widescreen on helps, but it's just an empirical observation, I'm not sure. paragongrid
That's worrying. I have close to the same card (5950). Have you tried using the older 66.93 nVidia drivers? Those seem to be the most stable with the FX series. I got some problems in other games using later drivers (most notably, Rome:Total War). Cojawfee
Try the Omega drivers (google it), they haven't let me down yet.
