Ah, just played on Special Forces. You've gotta love the grapping hook / zip line... and the Warlord map, of course (the only one I've played so far). I've just unlocked the G3 and F2000, and I still have another unlock to go. I'll have to experient a little with the new weapons, I think.

Just saw this plane diving towards 1 T90, A BTR and a DPV... Noticed he wasnt pulling up...

Awsome shots i got from it though...

 

All were killed, All 3 vechiles killing all occupants... Spectacular crash...

There are some classes that I hardly ever bother with - and for some reason the Support class is top of the list. On the surface, it seems to be ideal class - you get an uber-powerful gun for mowing down the enemies, plus you get to restock your allies' ammo and get support points - but I hardly ever seem to hit anyone with the gun! Even when firing in bursts or shooting down a bottleneck, it's rare that I ever get a kill.

 

My BF2 seems to be lagging a lot lately - does anyone get the problem where when you stop (or try to turn), you still keep going? It's like you're sliding around on ice at times. It's annoying when you trying to peek around a corner or run down a staircase only to 'skid' off the edge of the building. More memory needed, you reckon?

EVERY EA game does that to me everytime a new patch or expansion comes out.

 

I have to lower my graphics to combat it which is BS.

Its something to do with USB mice I think. I had the problem but then I get a new mobo and it went away. Using a USB - PS2 convertor might help or vice versa.

It's packet loss. The server things you are still moving in one direction and makes your PC render that. However, upon the server recieving where you should be... well yeah. bad pings can do it, if it gets worse it gets choppy.

It's packet loss. The server things you are still moving in one direction and makes your PC render that. However, upon the server recieving where you should be... well yeah. bad pings can do it, if it gets worse it gets choppy.

The same happens in Single Player though, and when playing online my ping is usually pretty good (30-50 ms). I have the bare minimum memory requirements so I'm suspecting it's that - especially since there is another (thankfully rare) annoyance whereby the game freezes up momentarily with the hard disk light on. Accessing virtual memory perhaps? This often occurs straight after I join a game.

 

Heh, after rubbishing the Support class before, I decided to give it a second chance... and it's growing on me. Fast. In fact, I went ahead and used my 2nd free SF unlock to get the PKM!

 

EDIT: Meh, it saves sending a PM but sorry MissileDefender - after adding you to MSN to organise that game, I got disconnected and now I can't log into Messenger anymore...

I got the engineer badge on a 16 player WAKE ISLAND SERVER. So shut up mushtee.

 

that whole round I was exculsively using the MG36.

 

And I only joined in to kark because maj was trying to get a badge so I joined and he ended up buggering off. Yes I hate how the map is played but it ruled with not many people. Infantry combat = own. Getting owned by armor = gay.

I'm not going to do it by BF2 rank, that will move around too much.

I can do serveral things;

Currently what I'm going to is: GTAF Name - BF2 Name - Stats Links (BF2s.com, BF2tracker.com, gameslave.co.uk {figured out how to get those}, nsvr.info)

Now I can also include the sigs for BF2s.com (which I like because it shows off the awards and basic stats) and/or nsvr.info. I can't do BF2tracker.com beause you have to access the account UserCP to get the get the sig link. And from what I can tell gameslav doesn't offer a sig.

NSVR.info sig

Only problem with this is that the user can pic to display; Favorite Map, Favorite Kit, Favorite Weapon, or Favorite Vehicle

 

 

In which case those 2 would get their own column and the ones that are only links would get 1 column

 

I'm working on the basic table now, no sigs. If y'all want the sigs included let me know

 

 

Side note:

How do you unlock the SF weapons? I know the SF Medic has an extra weapon. I've got the BF2 Medic weapon unlocked and I thought if I played SF I would automaticaly get the SF unlock as well.

There is a slight problem with the gameslave links, they work but some aren't perfect because they search and link using accountName (stupid) and not accountID (smart). About the only think I do like about the gameslave is that it seperates the Mid East and Far East Theater maps, and I'm trying to figure out what the deciding factor is in getting those ribbons...and so far it's not; speading 24hrs in said theater (read that in an FAQ on GameFAQs.com) and you don't have to play every single map for said theater (because Waddy has the Far East ribbon but only 9hrs in theater and zero time on Wake Island 2007). So I'm thinking it's number of rounds played or won...hard to tell judging from Waddy's stats, he got the award on Oct. 5 and has total of 45 rounds played and 22 of those are wins, I've only got 20 rounds played and 16 of those are wins.

Those 2 ribbons are hard to pin down as to what it takes.

I took them off the leaderboard, im not saying you should put them into rank order and the sigs wouldnt all fit into one post.

 

Anyway the mec and pla ribbons you are on about, well I instantly got them at 250 hours played (changed since 1.03 patch) Just add GTAF name, BF2 name, xfire name and links to 1 or 2 tracker sites.
