As for the code if need be I can create the table and do the updates and PM it to whomever, but I need people's info first. I'll change the BF2S.com Link column to just say Links and list any site the player wants or any and all; BF2S.com, NSVR.info, BF2tracker.com, any others I'm missing? Or I can do a column for each site and just have a click link there.

I would include galeslave.co.uk but there are no direct links to player stats like there are for the others.

Also I can inlcude Xfire names and links to the Xfire profile page if wanted.

 

Seriously, starting the code is the hard part (but not once you know how). Once you have a sample that works, it's just a matter of copy&paste&edit.

Was playing with Daz just now until my compuyer decided to crash on a map change. Had some fun kills... one guy was climbing a ladder and I sprinted jumped up and knifed him in the ass mid jump as Daz stood there watching. I ran over some guy ziplining down from a high building in a vodnik as he was still sliding, pulled some Jame Bond sh*t with the pistol killing 4 people and capping an enemy flag.. had a firefight with this one guy, I ran out of g36 ammo and pistol ammo, as he pulled out his pistol and started shooting I rushed and knifed him in the face. Not a bad night pointwise

Just yesterday I decided to finally get my basic knife badge, out of the blue. Played as medic, got the badge, and like 30 teamwork points to boot. One guy was so bad at aiming, that he emptied 4 mags of his G3 and didnt kill me. Of course, during that period there was a bit of lag, but i still knifed him in the face.

I was on warlord on a roof full of like 6 guys, I managed to knife all of them before arty hit us. I missed one but I came back for him and got him in the foot.

Something fun I picked up on and saves a bunch of time in loading...for those that don't already know

 

If you load the game from your desktop shortcut; right-click on it and select Properties...on the target line add +restart 1 I put it before the +menu 1

 

 

For Xfire go to the Xfire folder and open the xfire_games.ini

Do a search for 4578 the next line should say LongName=Battlefield 2

Now look for: LauncherLoginArgs=+playerName %UA_GAME_LOGIN_NAME% +playerPassword %UA_GAME_LOGIN_PASSWORD%

Change it to read: LauncherLoginArgs=+restart 1 +playerName %UA_GAME_LOGIN_NAME% +playerPassword %UA_GAME_LOGIN_PASSWORD%

 

Xfire updates this may get changed back to normal and you'll have to make the changes again.

This should work if you're still playing the Demo as well

 

This will prevent the intro movies and credits from playing and should save a good amount of time loading the game...after that you're on your own

 

 

 

If you use AllSeeing Eye and you want to be able to click on a server from the list and jump right in the game;

1. open the filters.txt file

2. search for Battlefield 2 and make sure you get Battlefield 2 and not Battlefield 2 Demo...unless you are playing the demo

3. Look for the line; JoinTemplate and look for +restart 1

4. Put the text curser behind the 1 and add a space now add: +playerName ACCOUNTNAME +playerPassword YOURPASSWORD I'm not sure if the account and password are case sensitive or not, but I think they are so use it

You could also add the +playerName and +playerPassword to your BF2 shortcut target line as well, saving time from the game asking you when you load in that way, just besure to read the warning below

 

WARNING: Remember your password is now going to be on your system in plain text for anyone to see if they know where to look (and now they do in a way). Also when the filters get updated, you'll have to reenter this.

Also note I'm using an older version of ASE and this might be an issue with the latest version, but there ain't no way in hell I'm going to pay a monthly fee to use ASE...damn Yahoo

 

 

Although +restart 1 has been around since BF42 and with BF42 and BFV I just deleted the intro movies, although they do usually come back after a major update. When I tried that with BF2demo it got a bit upset with me. I haven't tried with BF2 full.

Check back a few pages man and I posted a link to a topic that tells you how to fix that indoor lag with iron gator and inside the palace in warlord.

 

I HATE all the new maps, too many recycled objects. The palace in warlord and the new buildings and airport stuff in night flight, the sub pen and etc are all awesome but the recycled objects are horrible I wouldnt really have cared but it takes the whole style out of the map if its all the same. Which is one of the reasons i like iron gator if its not whored with SRAW whores owning anything that gets close.

Iron Gator is actually quite awesome, since you can get very very fierce fights. However, you gotta know the map well and you REALLY cant do much as a lone-wolf

Apparently you don't really need to get kills to get badges.

To get the Sniper Combat Badge-Basic BF2s.com says you need 10kills IAR while a sniper. That is what I had set out to do on last night. While trying to do just that the server switched to Gulf Of Oman and for grins I applied for Commander and got it.

Most of the time I stayed on the carrier, figured I can get the kills from the arty. However about 15mins before the end I noticed that although I had about 5-6 kills with the arty the score board said I had no kills but i did have 10+ points. A few mins later the game said I got the badge.

By the end of the round my scores were; 24 - 0 - 0 - 1...Points - (I forget) - Kills - Deaths.

So something else must be the deciding factor in getting some of the basic combat badges.

You probably killed 10 people with the artillery, it's pretty lame, but it works. Same goes for the Air-defense and Ground-defense ribbons, all you have to do is sitt in a AA-vehicle/AA/Mounted MG/TOW and get the requierd kills via artillery.

 

I got my AA-ribbon by accident when I was playing Commander and was trying to gun down planes with the AA on the aircraft carrier on Dragon Valley.

Its well worth it mate, Just to be able to use a zip line is worth the 20 quid alone!!

And the more said about night vision the better, I was lay down in the grass and the enemy crawled past me without seeing me, I then took advantage of this and shot him several times up the bum.

 

Thats why its worth it.
