The patch is alright so far. Wake Island seems ok, but the Chinese have a huge advantage over the Americans. I think the rank requirements got lowered way too much really. I was halfway to sergeant and now apparently I'm at gunnery sergeant. When I play in a server it says I hit gunnery sergeant but my stats aren't recognizing it and I'm not getting a weapon unlock. It must be busy.

 

Edit: Got my unlocks. The G36 is really great. The PKM is pretty awesome but range is sh*tty. The L85 is iffy. Choppers seem more weak and vulnerable. The .50 cal MG's take them down way too fast. And I hate the new chopper capture rule.

 

I guess the real reason I don't like this patch is that it took most of the challenge out of it. I got promoted 3 ranks and have 3 more guns. Maybe I haven't played enough with the new patch tonight. I'll try my best to deal with the new patch.

Only about 5 mins. I'm warming a little to Wake as there's plenty of guerilla type warfare in the trees. Still a pilots map though tbh.

Wakes alright but I still prefer Dragon Valley,the rank system is really different as I was only 2% through Lance Corpral and got one kill after patch installation and became Corpral.

As for the patch, i havent played enough since its been released to judge whether its better or worse but im glad they made the ranks attainable without having to play for 103104 hours to get them.

Don't tell Daz that. He's pissed off because of a glitch stopping him from gaining a high rank. Blows really. EA should pull their fingers out and address the main bugs before just throwing freebies at us to sweeten the deal.

 

I've also had the Red/Blue bug a couple of times post patch wereas I never had it pre patch.

meh, I dont know why hes being pissy, Not everyone can play 24/7, At the rate I was going it would hav e taken me about 6 months to get to 10k, and another unlock. Thats not good is it? I mean, some people can only play a few hours at a time and stuff, why you stressing?

 

Plus after 10k its another 10k until the next lock etc. meh, stop moaning! Get playing!

Eh. Well I realized last night that I was letting points and rankings and unlocks get to me. That's not the real fun in the game. The real fun is playing in a squad with you guys and totally pwning the other team. I let all that sh*t get to me and I really don't care about it anymore. I just wanna play.

What the f*ck is with the new patch? My dad plays BF2 and his account had 827 points and he got updated to Lance Corporal then theres me a f*cking silly dick with nearly 3000 points and barely a Coporal, this whole patch has severly f*cked up the ranking systems. Today i was watching my austrian friend play, he went into a server and shot one guy and got promoted to Lance Corporal, then killed another 2 and got promoted AGAIN to Corporal...i mean what the f*ck, complete balls.

Just been sent this and can verify it works for Xfire users getting frustrated at not being able to auto join a friends game. Here's the fix.
