Was actually playing decently on our server then, but quit to for lag testing.

 

I think I was lagging everyone else up.

 

For instance, it took me a little while to get into the door of this this room.

Yea, I downloaded this about last week.

 

I'm not trying to be rude, but could you tell me why you suggested that? Seems like everyone thinks it's my chipset, yet they never tell me why.

 

Also does chipset=mobo? What's the difference?

Battlefield 2 in it's early days had a good bit of problems with the NForce4 chipset and it caused a lot fo problems similiar to what you are experiencing.

NVidia updated the drivers to make sure it stopped it from happening.

Just making sure you had the lastest drivers.

Other than that, are you sure nothing is overheating on your computer?

Have you tried quitting as many background processes as possible to see if it isn't a program conflict?

Hmm, here's some more info on my chipset. I don't think it really matters, but just incase.

I'm going to BestBuy and I'll get some new fans there incase over heating is the problem.

 

Closing out of all my programs worked about twice. Since then it stopped, same thing with reinstalling. Everytime I get BF2 work, it ends up messing up again.

Yea, it does take the piss sometimes.

I got my first bsod on my old setup from BF2.

 

I'll take a gander around for some info on your mobo and setup.

See if I can dig up anyone else having problems with it.

Has BF2 ever worked for you?

Was there a time that it didn't crash?

When I first installed it, BF2 worked for a few days. When it started messing up I reinstalled it and the problem was fixed for a few more days. When I tried reinstalling it again, BF2 wouldn't work anymore.

 

It also worked if I closed out of everything I could from Task Manager, delete the files in windows>temp, and then open up my mouse properties so my mouse would work. I could play for about 20 minutes, twice, before BF2 started freezing again.

 

When I had an older patch (1.03 or something) I set my controls to default. That worked when I joined a server, but after I downloaded 1.12 my game freezes, even if I set my controls to default.

 

Idk if that made sense at all.

Have you tried using different versions of your video drivers?

I know for awhile I couldn't use certain versions of the drivers because it would give me the bsod.
