Saved games moving around on my HD

[Lagoon Bug]

Has anyone had this happen to them?

 

My GTA3 for the PC game saves games in my My Documents folder. Then it changed to C:\, then back again. This occured during some reboot error. It could be related to that.

 

Also, when playing the game, all the default settings seemed to have been reset. I had to turn the resolution back all the way up. I thought my game was lost(even though I back them up in my own folder) until I happen to look in My Computer, then Local Disk and found a "GTA3 User Files" folder there.

 

I did a proper reboot and it went back to using that folder in the My Documents folder.

 

Also, the game lagged more than usual.

 

Anyone had this happen? What could be the cause?

 

I'm using a brand new Dell computer, P4, 2.84 or something gighrtz, 512 ddr or something RAM.
