Blacks were pitch black, all of the colours were bright but not washed out. Those look like some sad bastard printed them out on his 10-year-old inkjet printer and shoved them in jewel cases. Exactly, also this is further proved by the fact that both GTA3 and Vice City on PC never got announcements for going gold or not that I remember anyway. Going gold also isn't that critical in the PC and even Xbox version, basicaly all of the work for the game was done when the PS2 edition had gone gold. They wouldn't. It would be sheer incompetence on their part to screw up the release, and they're not that bad.
