Mafia Drive Gunner

Hey guys, this is a follow up of the General Knowldge quiz in General Chat.

Here we go:

Who was 234th overall draft pick in the 2005 NFL Draft?

Don't ask why I picked that number, I just thought it would be cool to do a continuing umbers thing. Who knows who it might be? -MDG

Erm....Fuzzy, where the hell did you find that name at, you friggin freak. You are meant to be another clueless Aussie that knows nothing about NFL, except for me, because I follow it. So where did that name come from? It's right, but how the hell. Lol. -MDG

Lmao. My friend has just come back over from spending a few months in the US, and he's become NFL mad. He's on MSN at the moment so I asked if he knew, and after about a minute he came up with a name... tounge.gif

If I've worked this out correctly, I ask a question now, don't I?

This is going to be damn easy, and since it'll be only you and I in this topic for quite some time now, until all the Americans get online, I'll refrain from answering any more questions 'til tomorrow.

Name the horses that came 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the 1969 Melbourne Cup, and the jockey and trainer of the winner.

The longest TD run is a 74 yarder by Marcus Allen. If you mean a TD return then Desmond Howard, Fulton Walker, and Andre Coleman have all done it.

American basketball player, b. New York City as Ferdinand Lewis (Lew) Alcindor. At 7 ft 2 in. (218 cm), he led the Univ. of California, Los Angeles, to three national titles (1967–69). He was the National Basketball Association's number one draft pick in 1969, joining the Milwaukee Bucks as center. Just to clear up any confusion, his name was changed to Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

You got the name right, but not the amount of games. That was how long his last suspension was for. I was talking about all his suspensions added together.

I'll tell you because you got it half right, so you can ask a question. He has been suspended for 45 games in total. Your turn. -MDG

Ok, How many blocks did Mark Eaton have in his career and which team did he spend his entire career with?

Mark Eaton....hmmm....never heard of him. Did he by any chance play his whole career under the Utah Jazz, and when back problems ended his career in 1994 have 3064 blocks.

I got a bit confused, because I typed it in on google and it took me to NHL, but the man named Mark Eaton in that played for two teams, but then I found NBA.com.

Am I right? -MDG

Yep you are correct. I think he was well over 7 feet tall and did play for the Jazz his whole career. Did you find out why he had to retire? I never really knew. BTW I just picked him because I like the tall guys in the NBA, I mean super tall. So my next question might be about Manut Bol or someone.

Yeah it said he was 7"4. It said he had a back injury, not surprising for a man his height. Heck, I'm 15 and 6"2 1/2 and it is hard enough.

Anyways, who won Man Of The Match honours in the 2nd State of Origin clash in Australia in 1982, and how many people attended the game to the nearest thousand? -MDG

Anyways, answer the question. -MDG

No, wasn't Wally Lewis. He was probably one of the first names to show up, because he was possibly one of the greatest players ever to grace a Rugby League field. He was simply one of the best Origin players.

He did recieve the award 8 times in his Origin career though. -MDG

Ok, fair enough.

I better repost that question so that everyone can see it again. It seems as though we have also been treated to a nice influx of American sports posts. This is probably a harder one, so I don't blame you. Some of these questions do become quite easy because of good ol' google.

Penrith? I have no clue and I don't think anyone else does either. Can you please ask another question or something?
