If I were I mod, I love to temp ban your ass. Anyway, SA is a great game, but I just love that there is going to be game files unlocked already and other things to make modding SA easier. I guess that's more convienent than three or more CD-ROMs, but I would dislike not being able to play the game if my DVD drive craps out. At least with CD-ROMs, I can access them from both the CD and DVD drives. Edit: Getting it on the PC because I don't own any consoles other than a GameBoy Advance and a GameBoy Color. Back in January I almost gave in from waiting to get a PS2 for $150 at future shop. But instead, I rented a PS2 from blockbuster when I was in Victoria, just to try it out. I rented two games, San Andreas(for obvious reasons) and that Medal of Honour(to compare with my much beloved PC conterpart) . The first thing I realized about the PS2 when i plugged it in was how much I hated the controller. Because i am solely a pcgamer, using this dinky little PS2 controler was useless. I found it impossible to control. Then i saw the graphics, draw distance, etc.... You know how that story goes... The controls were especially horrible for socom. PC is where games are meant to be played everyone. So I gave up on my PS2 dreams and decided to wait it out for the superior version, and believe you me, it will be amazing. I don't use a lot of mods, just mta (the MTA "blue" looks good, can't wait). Never give in to a console, "controllers"= DINKY+UNRELIABLE+INACURRATE Oh yeah, I won't be listening to any of that rap music, so I will definitly be putting more of my Rock & Roll MP3s in... I got my PS2 for around $100, when I needed a unit w/o drive problems. My first PS2 was bought from my buddy for $20!! He got me into DVD cheap as well $150! Anyway, my PC is only 700 MHz with a lousy Sidewinder controller and another console Interact type of unit I've never liked and trying Vice on PC with the mouse...near impossible!! I've only consoles since Atari 2600 and I still have just about all our family owned consoles, including the 3DO!! That one was pretty cool The prices have affected everybody and the controllers are widely debated but magazines have said the PS2 controller is one of the best out there...and it DOES require you to adapt to it. Once you do, and as a former PS1 owner of long standing, it become pretty easy. I have the arcade NAMCO controllers for PS1 as well and they don't work quite so well for this type of game, but I'd say there's always room for improvement Bill Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

KoLSPD2 Posted May 18, 2005 Share Posted May 18, 2005 I want the PC edition, even though I have the PS2 version, but that disc got a Disc Read Error after I cleaned the disc with SkipDoctor. I was getting sick of it freezing up every time, and I guess I'll go with the PC version. It's not because of the PC being more powerful than the PS2, but it's because of bug fixes and I need something to do this summer. scabo19 Posted May 27, 2005 Share Posted May 27, 2005 I've played the ps2 version and i wud say that even if u beat that then still buy the pc version for the game.I have noticed that all those ugly flaws will be taken care of with a pc:1 is sucky graphics especially character models,2 is annoying load times,3 is pop-up,4 is that the radio is a bit spread out(i only liked kjah west,rls and playback an a bit of bounce but tha will be fixed with the mp3 radio),5 is the audio on a standard tv is not close to wat my kickin ass subwoofer can offer plus dolby digital 5.1,6 is manual aiming is ten times more easier with a mouse than analog stick,7 is the controls can be configured to liking(using keyboard&mouse/gamepad),8 is replays,pictures and stats can be saved on ur pc and not on ps2,9 is draw distance looks appauling especially while flying(must I say it again,fixed by the pc),10 is that player modifications possibilities will be endless(leaving u with probably at least 6 months more replay value after u r fed up of the game).I just gave any1 who is in to gta ten reasons to buy the pc version.Now the only flaw that cant be changed is gameplay.I personally think they overdid it with the gangsta themed missions and found myself looking for those original gta missions.So all i have to say is that if ur pc is capable then buy the damn game.Dont get me wrong i do like the game but im jus gonna wait for the pc version rather than visit ma friend evry day 2 play it.I jus think the ps2 version is a waste of money bcuz it can be a little more frustrating than enjoying. tombcatz Posted May 27, 2005 Share Posted May 27, 2005 i`m buying the game... but i have 2 problems... the one: i`m living in israel,so the release date of the game in israel is somewhere around 15-20.6 almost two weeks after the offical release date in the US... so...on the one hand-i can download it,and get it in june 7th,or i can wait and buy it when it it`ll be released in my country... i guess i`l wait [i wont betray rockstar,i have originial copies of GTA3 and GTA:VC,i`m a big fan of this game] the second problem is: HELL!Battlefield2 looks AWESOME!but i must decide which game i want more...BF2 or GTA:SA any suggestions? Once it's paid for you may as well downlaod it a hundered times, as long as you keep them to yourself. Download, then delete and pay. Yes, downladoing games is naughty.
