I'd rather play it on the ps2 anyday, it's better than playing it on the geeky pc and it's boring control system, the graphics aren't that crap, besides graphics aren't everything you know and I'm sure you're crap in bed. you who trying to convince? us ? or yourself? .... if your trying to convince us.... it'll never happen (see below).... if your trying to convince yourself well then you go on living in that dream world of yours all the power to ya just ignore the rest of us pointing an laughing =) (and ignore whats below) 1- ps2 can barley handle gta:sa looks fine if your standing still and squinting real hard .... trying moving fast as back and forth at an airport ... soon nuf you'll be hitting fences you can't see untill AFTER you crash into them ...wont get that with pc 2- tired of driving fast down a highway only to have a car suddenly appear with out warning as you smash into the back end of it? wont get that with pc 3-that isn't SMOG around la... although they'd like you to think so .... it's graphic fogging they use it to hide textures and other such stuff that it too gaphicly intence for the ps2 to display all at once .... wont get that on pc 4-who needs a cheating device with PC... skilled enough you can make your own cheats/trainers ... skilled enought you can change just about anything in the game with mods 5-if your stil now convinced : PS2 SCREEN SHOT (640x480) (not same location but about the same angle) PC screenshot 1920x1200 (no differances eh) oh ya ... send your girlfriend/wife over and she can be the judge of who's good in bed.... I think Sony would even admit that PS2 is ghey compared to PC. Just compare Vice City on PS2 to Vice on PC. PC totally PWNZ the PS2 in every way, even on my old PC which is a crappy PIII 500!!! GTAGuy Posted May 10, 2005 Share Posted May 10, 2005 Yeah, I noticed that also. The wheels are actually round this time, not all jagged like in the PS2 version. When VC was ported to the PC, it just used some higher resolution textures, but still used the same models as were in the PS2 version, so all of the wheels (most notably on the bikes) were all jagged. I hated that tremendously; even moreso when the Xbox got drastically updated graphics on GTA3 and VC. Perhaps the Xbox versions of GTA3 and VC were just a preliminary test to see how good they good get the GTA games to look on a more capable system. I'm glad that R* has utilized the extra "legroom" that the PC and Xbox have to offer to apply an even greater amount of graphical improvement to the PC and Xbox versions of SA. scabo19 Posted May 11, 2005 Share Posted May 11, 2005 (edited) All this ps2 an pc action is pointless.I've been playing games for 10 years or so but only been hardcore for 7 years.I always dreamt of game like gta long before it was released.Hmmm nostalgia-still remember the first time playing gta3 on ps2 some years back .Anyway my point is that due to games like gta,r* have made it hard for other devolopers.Because no matter what genre of a game,they can never stand up to gta in any way although many are fun.The problem with today's video games are that their developers focus to much on the attractive look of the game than actual substance or content.They manage to include really exciting gameplay but when that happens the game is either to short or repititious.Renting games is much more appealing than buying except when it comes to games like gta or the legend of zelda.Back in ps1 and n64 days, games did have alot more substance and u cud have played for months without getting bored.But in our time, gta is one of the few games than could have long lasting replay value. So i'll conclude by saying this: if u r a hardcore gamer an dont own a ps2 and feel like your're missing out on alot of titles,dont waste ur money on a ps2 because most of these games are only fun for a while so most of the time i just tell myself that i could live without playing it.If u are a bit more of a casual gamer then go ahead and waste ur money.pc games are all(well maybe not all) awesome any many are good enuff to buy just like gta games but the problem is that the hardware is costly Edited May 11, 2005 by scabo19 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

HKB Posted May 12, 2005 Share Posted May 12, 2005 LETS GET BACK ON TRACK: im bying GTA: SA for the pc cause the pc just feels better... i tried SA on a ps2, for 20 min, in my local games store and... it just didn't feel right... I don't use mods alot... only if they are improving the game and fit in to the game world (fx do i use the xbox wheels instead of the PC in VC) but i don't replace cars and stuff like that...
