JulioCaesar
Wow, I had allways thought this topic went dead once that kid announced it was dead with that retarted photoshop pic, but man was I wrong. This topic went from bitchin' to incredibly weak in a matter of days. Anyways, do you think the PS2 controllers will be compatible with the PS3? I don't see why they wouldn't/shouldn't. Demarn
I kind of think they are, and I also think they aren't. It doesn't look like there is a slot for the old controllers. I also think they aren't because they have wireless controllers. I have a question. Is the part circled in red a flap/lid thats flips up? It kinda looks like it does. Maybe thats where the controllers might go. Today, we bring you high resolution pictures of some Xbox 360 peripherals. Source Despite early reports that claimed Grand Theft Auto would be a PS3 launch title (gotta love that early launch chaos), we have confirmed with our editors at the Sony E3 press event that no new GTA title has been confirmed for Sony's upcoming machine. What Rockstar did confirm, however, was that it would be supporting the powerhouse system in the future and that it's looking forward to creating living, breathing worlds with the Cell technology. Evidence of this could be found in Rockstar's PS3 trailer that showed an old-west style desert game that is as of yet unnamed. We'll have more on that in just a few minutes. ©2005, IGN Entertainment, Inc. All Rights Reserved Rockstar Supports PS3 Maybe that preview of that western style game was part of GTA4 I bet anything like they did with the PS and PS2 they are going to make a smaller verision of the PS3. PS= PSone PS2= PStwo PS3= PSthree Who knows. I hope they do. I would like to see a new model of the PS3. Is it me or is this topic pure dead. I haven't really seen much post in here in the past days/week. Edited June 4, 2005 by Demarn

Taxmod
Is it me or what? I think that the PS3 is actually a slimline PS2 with parts glued on to it. Seriously, look at it. The first pic where I circled the part in red shows black, theyat has to be the part where the PS2 is. They probably whipped something up really fast for the controller, that's why it's so ugly. So this probably isn't the design of the PS3. Sony just created something to show at E3. The PS3 also looks like a grill. I actually don't know about getting the ps3. The only reason I am getting the PS3 is because of the performance and the games. I have never, never liked microsoft, (As you can see I didn't capitalize there name.), so I am probably never gonna get an xbox 360 unless it totaly whips PS3 arse. Also this xbox has a bulky look again.

Taxmod
Nintendo Rev. specs leaked! We’re not ones to say whether these are the real deal (oh, but wouldn’t we like to be!), but operating under the assumption that they’re not, we’d like to have a bit o’ fun with Nintendo’s forthcoming Revolution, whose specs maybe just possibly might include a dual-core 1.8GHz PowerPC-based setup with 512KB L2 cache, 1.2GHz FSB, 600MHz ATI graphics chip with 12MB SRAM, 128MB “main storage” SRAM (for GPU and sound L3 cache), 256MB main DRAM, 7.1 surround sound, and some 6GB dual-layer HP/Panasonic disc format. Well then, if these do indeed have any truth to them (and we’re by no means saying they do), it looks like the Revolution will be spending more time sparring specs with the 360 than the PS3—not that you should be very surprised. Mankind
The touchpad controller for the Revolution sounds kind of lame to me. And the PS3 looks lame, too. Hopefully they'll redesign it.

ChaosAlert
PS3 Dev Kit AppearsWhile the PS3 is already looking to be the largest console in the next generation, the development kit is going to dwarf it entirely. Japanese journalist Honda Masakazu of IT Media put a photo of the dev kit in his blog and it has been quickly spreading across the web. According to him, this huge box has a 2.4GHz Cell processor and a GPU that is not quite as powerful as the RSX chip. Apparently, some of the demos from Sony's E3 press conference were running on this machine. Source Edited June 22, 2005 by ChaosAlert

Paulie Cicero
Holy sh*t. The E3 issue of PSM arrived in my mailbox two days ago, and the PS3 looks hot! The next generation of consoles seems an eternity away. Time to start saving up for my PS3.

I'm guessing it's not selling too great. Fabulous marketing, there Nokia. I'm taking it off the list now. And I'm even going to both with Nokia anymore. I guess they like to keep it a secret that there product has been released or something. Edited July 16, 2005 by Next-Gen

And can't Microsoft sue them for this? werleman1: I saw somewhere that Microsoft said it was going to be $300. IGN I think it was. But I'm not too sure. Next-Gen
Xbox360 Xbox 360 Price, Launch Date Revealed? Source The Inquirer and TotalVideogames claim that Wal-Mart employees apparently have leaked the launch date and price of the Xbox 360. According to these reports, the Xbox 360 will retail for $299 and the launch will be Friday, November 4th. The rumored price sounds likely to be true since it is the same price of the original Xbox when it launched back on November 15th of 2001. However, the Nov. 4th date sounds a bit odd being that it takes place on a Friday; not typically strong “launch day” for retailers. Being that the first Xbox launched on the third Thursday of November and just before the Thanksgiving holiday, a date of November 10th or November 17th seems more likely for the Xbox 360 launch, but again, this is purely speculation. We’ll have more on the Xbox 360 launch date and price as it develops.

darthYENIK
That does look like the only edge (in my eyes) that the 360 has over the PS3.
