Svip
I discovered something weird about the quote thing, and secondly I have two suggestions for the quote thing. The weird part; When I inserted some text and selected then click the "parse as quote", I then clicked cancel on the popup, but then it removed my text and replaced it with my clipboard. Suggestion 1: When you click cancel on the popup, is it possible that it will just write instead of ? Suggestion 2: In order to make it easier for users to insert dates/users in quotes' date=' how about Svip|I love pie turned into I love pie so it wont ask for the attribute. PatrickW
you indeed stumbled upon a bug, cancelation of the quote popu isn't correctly handled as it seems. Thanx for reporting it, it will be fixed in the next release. About your suggestion, this could work.. but only when applying the quote tag to a selection. I'm not sure it wil make the next release, but I'll keep in in consideration.

And if you like multiple extensions, you can easily use them both. The main difference between my extension and BBcodeXtra, is that mine include all the custom-BBcode tags that this forum supports. Concerning: pasting from clipboard; that is included in my GTAFcode also, the only option that I didn't implement, as I didn't seem usefull to me, is "paste as list". number of features;BBcodeXtra does indeed have the HTML/XHTML tags, which I deliberatly skipped, but when it comes to BBcode, BBcodeXtra doesn't have all the options GTAFcode has. Also advanced features like, list/table building and cursor/selection handling are not supported by BBcodeXtra. PatrickW
For those that are less adventureous.... I've updated this extension, to be compatible with the latest FireFox version (1.5). Sadly they won't host it on the official mozzila extension site anymore, as they consider it "promotional" now .. Therefor you won't get an automatic update notice, and you'll have to install the new version of gtafcode (v0.3.0) manually from my site. New Some minor bugs have been solved, and a nifty "break-quote" has been added. Select a spot in a quote where you want to add some comment, than selection the special->break-quote, will insert a pair, which enable you to put your comments in between. I haven't included BBcode's Custom feature (yet) BTW Sorry for the long pause in posting on the forums, but I've been lurking in silence
Waste
I think we can understand why you've been lurking. Good job on the plugin, mate.
BenMillard
I havn't used this before (because I'm a hardcore coder...honest) but some of the new features look really useful. (EDIT) Some parts of it could be improved. For example, instead of basing data input on strings being entered into input boxes, you could make the extension use a proper control. I imagine this would be very complicated, but having a window with an actual list control into which you could add, remove and re-order items would be a lot easier to use. Similarly, using a window which had a grid control would make table creation much easier. If you have a Web Developer Extension, a simpler version of its interface would be good: 612 417, 38.6kB. I'd offer to make it myself but I've got way too many projects going already. [me=The audience]gasps at Cerbera's knowledge![/me] The audience gasps at Cerbera's knowledge! You've missed out a few small things, such as the [me] tags having an optional attribute, as shown above. Tornado Rex
Is Mozilla still being a bitch about you putting it on the official add-on site? Seems like most of the popular extensions on there could be "promotional" (Gmail Manager anyone). ~ Proud Supporter of the Child's Play Charity! | GTANET + Child's Play ~

Toadyd
You can update it yourself Taken from: https://developer.mozilla.org/En/Updating_e...s_for_Firefox_3 Update the install manifestThe first step -- and, for most extensions, the only one that will be needed -- is to update the install manifest file, install.rdf, to indicate compatibility with Firefox 3. Simply find the line indicating the maximum compatible version of Firefox (which, for Firefox 2, might look like this): <em:maxVersion>2.0.*</em:maxVersion> Change it to indicate compatibility with Firefox 3: <em:maxVersion>3.0.*</em:maxVersion> Then reinstall your extension. Note that Firefox 3 does away with the extra ".0" in the version number, so instead of using "3.0.0.*, you only need to use "3.0.*". Basically, download the extension, rename the file extension .xpi to .zip and extract, open install.rdf and change the maxVersion line to say 3, save the file and then compress the chrome folder and the other files into a zip folder, change the folder extension to .xpi and re-install.
