agent47
Does the "Direct X 9 graphic card" requirement mean that I need pixel shaders to run the game? I have a crappy old GeForce 4 MX 440 64 MB (I know that it is a Direct X 7 card with no pixel shaders). Other than that, the rest of my system is ok. (P4 1.5 GHz, 384 MB RAM, no proper soundcard - it is intergrated on the motherboard) My PC runs Vice City perfectly fine, at 1024x768. I can run vice city at 1280x1024 with no slowdown at all. Just curious cause SA is just so huge and the graphics have improved so answer will be great. Andy80586
If anyone finds that they need a new computer, I would highly suggest building one yourself... it will save you a lot of money if you do it right. Computer companies tend to use fast CPUs and sh*tty videocards in their computers, unless of course you spend 3000 or some ridiculous price on an Alienware. Not to mention the fact that if you learn how to build your computer, you get the experience required to keep it working right. I also would not go out and buy anything expensive right now... the next generation of video cards is coming out soon (R520, NV48?) so if anyone is looking at spending 500 on something it would be better to wait and spend it on one of those... it could mean an extra 6-12 months of life for it. Then again... all of this could be a crock of BS, so it would be ideal to just wait six weeks and see what people are actually playing with. GTA3Freak-2001
Look if your PC meets the requirements then it will work, that's what they are there for so follow them. Asking how well it will run is another thing that we can only speculate until someone gets the game and can say how well it runs on a certain PC which can then be cross referenced with the requirements. excalibur69
my specs :CPU : PIII 600 Mhz RAM : 320 MB graphic card : Nvidia TNT2 32 Mo do you think CPU is really important ? because i can buy a new graphic card and then this will be ok except the cpu look man, honestly, look at the requirements. nothing but your ram is even close to the minimum. there is no way you will be able to run the game at a playable level at even the lowest settings. yes cpu is important and video card is important and your system is severly lacking in those areas. BOTH components need to be upgraded. a new video card wont help your system at all in the current state, even a GForce 6800 wont help at all cause its performance will be bottlenecked by the CPU. i suggest you either upgrade your entire system, or buy it for XBox Edited May 2, 2005 by excalibur69
