Digïtál £vîl
I found a good site that fred reccommend fro scripts and the such. It is actually a site with some tutoials for it which i actually understand. So I am wondering, where should I start? Right now i am looking into cgi scripts for the basics so eventually i will be able to do a simple polling thing for my website (seeing as most of my site will be devoted to that, it would be helpful). The only thing is, I am not sure if I should just be starting with cgi scripting. In the end I am looking for something that I can learn and use so that I can make my site work to its fullest. The format and use of the site is going to be polling and commenting, with a kinda news area for updates on news and places for people to comment on such topics. (Not A Forum) Along with that, the polls although they may be simple at first, i am hoping to make a little more complex eventually. So should I just learn CGI scripting for now, just to start it out? Or just dive right into PHP or ASP? I am wondering this, because if i spend a lot of time learning one thing to only have it not be as useful anymore, then well, that would reall suck Thanks for anyone who helps. PresidentKiller
Well, if you know plenty of C++, CGI should not be a problem. PHP and ASP (ASP .NET is better) are good choices too.
