BigGamer
For the past week or so, I've noticed some problems in posting in regards to tags. For example, whenever I try to place a tag in the middle of a body of text, it automatically goes to the end. Here's an example. Whenever I try to put a word in tags, it doesn't work. Although I tried to put one of the words in underline, the tag automatically goes to the end of whatever you've written so far. I know it hasn't always been this was, because I always used to add in tages after I'd typed something. Instead, I have to it one by one on my own, which makes for very tedious posting. Does anyone know why this is?

BigGamer
Recently switch to firefox? If so use search next time. If not, then I'm sorry and I have no idea. I didn't see anything about this in here, so I figured no one else had had the problem. Yeah though, I did switch to Firefox. Thanks for the help Sweet. SWEETSAPRIK
This is the closest thing to a fix. https://addons.update.mozilla.org/extension...info.php?id=128 It's a firefox extension that'll let you do it, but you still won't get the bbcode box on the board to work. It will however give you a "right click" functionality that doesn't append everything to the end. So for instance you'll highlight the text, and then right click, and then select the BBcode from the menu, and it'll work. I'm not sure what this one does as I don't have it yet, but I found it when looking for the first one. I'm going to download it now. https://addons.update.mozilla.org/extension...info.php?id=491 PяopagaиdaIиc.
Luke
//--------------------------------------------// Set up our simple tag open values//--------------------------------------------//// Modified by Volker Puttrich to allow IE 4+// on windows to use cursor position for inserting// tags / smilies From IPB's JavaScript File It would suggest only IE supports the cursor positioning for BBCode, and that it's a fairly recent thing. It's annoying for me too, I just got used to typing BBCode manually though, guess there's few options other than living with it or the plugin. adam broke it. The first one is also really convenient, and alot faster than using the board. Thanks again. Edited April 18, 2005 by BigGamer
SWEETSAPRIK
No problem. I've been using the first one for a while, and they both have BBcode, HTML, and XHTML. But the second one has a few features the first doesn't. (Like list, ordered list, alphabetic list, not that I'll ever use them.) But it also has Vbulletin. So the second one will make the first redundant. PяopagaиdaIиc.
Chunky Lee Chong
There's an easy solution to this. You highlight and move the tag to its proper location, because leaving it where you don't want it simply won't do anything.

If you're just doing italisizing, bolding and underlining, then it's just an extra seven strokes per tag. You can do the opening tag in under a second and the closing tag in a little bit more than that. OH NO 1.5 SECONDS! BIG HASSLE!

You know Chunky, maybe, just maybe, I wrote this topic in case there actually was a problem with the forum. I could care less about 1.5 seconds, but I thought there was a problem that might of needed addressing.
