Beta generally means "test," so the working character design, pre-release is the beta shot.

Yeah beta software releases are for beta testing... usually only certain people get copies, to look for bugs. Then the official release is called v1.0.

Ok - I just replayed 'Cut Throat Business' with the subtitles on.

 

The final cutscene takes place in Blastin' Fools Records. Just before that scene we see Loc heading down an alley. The only interesting thing down there is the back entrance to a building looking similar to this:

CJ find himself outside the front of this building once the mission is over.

 

I couldn't see any signs of other companies. Mxy, is it a record company that you're thinking of?
