San Andreas Get-Rich-Quick Schemes

Recommended Posts

ADJ

WARNING: MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS

There are loads of ways to get rich quick on San Andreas: Here are some, if you have any more please post them and I'll add them to the list with your permission.

Dishonest Methods

1. CHEAT METHOD - Use this cheat, which will give you full health and armour and $250,000:

R1, R2, L1, X, Left, Down, Right, Up, Left, Down, Right, Up

2. GAMBLING METHOD - Can only be used when Las Venturas is accessible. Save outside Woozie's casino then go inside and bet all you can on blackjack, or better yet, bet with 1/2 odds at roulet (Thanks to slinger for that). If you happen to lose, just reload. Make sure you save after making a big win or else you will be poor again when you next lose a hand and have to reload.

3. GAMBLING METHOD 2 (HORSE RACING) - Save, then go to the Betting Shop in Dillimore. Bet all of your money on the horse with the worst odds (eg. 12 to 1). If you lose, reload and try again.

Honest Methods

1. GAMBLING METHOD 3 (HORSESHOES) - Can only be used when Las Venturas is accessible. Go around Las Venturas and get a bunch of horseshoes. Your luck should increase considerably (you can check it on the stats menu) so you have a high chance of winning when gambling. Now go to a casino or a betting shop and get gambling!

2. THE LONGSHOT - Thanks to Kremit for this - Go to a Betting Shop and always bet on the longshot. Because the longshot actually has quite a high chance of winning, if you keep betting (and only bet 5% of your total cash every time) then you will start making money from the big payouts when you do win. I reckon this is the best method yet.

3. R3 MISSIONS - There are various missions you can do (accessed by pressing R3 in certain vehicles) but I think the best one is the Firetruck. Simply blow up a car in the middle of a busy city and one should come along, so jack it. You'll probably get a wanted level so drive around for a bit until you lose it before you start the mission. The best place to do it is on a long bridge (I recommend the Gant Bridge between Bayside and SF). As you progress through the missions the cash should start rolling in.

Also thanks to SWEETSAPRIK for suggesting vigilante missions with the Hunter. I'll take your word for it (I haven't unlocked the Hunter yet) but I can see how it would be much easier.

4. ASSETS - Go to the airport and get a helicopter, then go between all of your assets (Grove Street, Wang Cars, Zero's RC Store etc.) and collect them all. If you have a few, once you've done them all the ones you did initially will be ready for collecting. Continue until you have as much money as you want.

5. EXPORTS - Most of the cars on the export lists at the SF dock have parked locations so it would be wise to export them a.s.a.p. Make sure you go to the Pay 'n Spray first because you'll lose cash if it's damaged. The cars go for about $30,000 each so you can make a good business of trading cars.

6. DRUG DEALERS - This is for when you've just started the game and are really poor (when you have less than $1000). A geat way top make cash is to kill drug dealers, they have about $2000 each (Thanks Knightmare). The best way to kill one is to get close without aiming at him (if you do he will attack you) and then get a head shot before he can fight back. Soon you should have enough money to buy some extra properties around LS and get some more firepower!

If you have any hints for getting rich then post them!

By the way - I changed the font; I think it's easier on the eyes.

Nice job man...I like it. I gotta say the Horse betting, when you win, is probley the biggest pay-out. I bet all my money on a 12/1 horse and he won. My money bar was goin' up for about 25 minuites, no joke.

One question: I was under the impression that the horse racing "track" had a limit on how much you can bet? Where is the OTB that you are talking about?

They are the same thing, "Inside Track Betting." I think max bet is like $9,999,995(?).

Now Clucky, I am a rich guy that lives around mink in San Fierro. And I've got about 700 k dollars hanging out of my pocket.

I know that k means $1,00 dollars but, Clucky, what the hell is a g?

But I think you're right. The dealers in the 'hoods of Los Santos get you about $2,000 playa.

G = Grand aka K aka big bill(s) (ie i got two big bills for it)aka 1000

"G"

Noun. 1. A gram.

2. A thousand, from 'grand' (noun).

I like the fact that you didn't type it like "yo If u want da money playa, u kill da dealas and u'll get da paper"

This is good, nice job.

The only two thing I'd say are

1. Like they said, you get more like $1,700-$2,000 from dealers.

and

2. The best R3 mission to do for cash is Vigilante missions in the Hunter. (apache)

It's easier (I think) than any others, and if you play long enough the amout per level gets so high that it's insane.

blink.gif How did you do that? When I use a Hunter in Vigilante, I can't shoot the suspects properly.

I didn't find it that hard. I just used the minigun instead of the rockets, since they get you stars much faster.

The hardest part of playing a vigilante for hours is when they all get out of the cars in the middle of a tunnel. That happened at least three or four times, and I had to run 1/3 of the way in to the tunnel, then shoot some RPG's, then run back to the helicopter, and repeat. But once you've got enough time built up you're fine.

That, and you occasionally have to land, and run to a snack stand before the timer runs out. So to save myself from doing that I fattened, and muscled up to the max before starting.

Side note RE: gambling cheat.

Rather blackjack, play roulet and either bet red/black. You either double up or reload.

Kremit

you can get rich quick from horse racing without being a cheap cheezy reloading saved game type player....

I started a fresh game and did this.... made 700 mil by the time I was bored of it... I know from 700 mil, I can get the max within another days worth of horse races.

But I start out at the Grove street house and run up to the horse bet place under the Mulholland intersection. On my way, I kill people for money. I entered with ~3000 dollars. I start betting at just 50 bucks a game. As long as you always bet the long shot, you should cover your losses... I've NEVER lost ten races in a row when betting on the long shot... let alone 12 races in a row. If you loose 6 races in a row, win one, loose 4 more and then win one more... you just won 2/12... and by doing so, covered your losses for the 12 races as well as won just as much back. Granted you're only a little ahead, but it's ahead. Keep doing this and you can eventually up the antee... 50 dollars, 100 dollards, 250 dollars, 500 dollars, etc... up till you're betting 1 mil a race and you have 15 mil to keep gambling.

The key to this is simple: 1) Always pick the horse with the longest shot odds; 2) Never bet more than 5% of the money in your bank.

Thanks for the tips, I've added them to the guide at the top.

Kremit - that method's great, next time I get on SA I'm going to try it out - Cheers

A note to Kremit's method, I think you can bet 10% of your total cash on the long shot every time and still turn a profit. So if you enter with $3000, you should bet $300, then increase it or decrease it depending on whther you won or lost. As long as you only bet 10% of the total you can't go broke.

@ Kremit - I tried the method and I got about a 60% increase in cash, but then I worked my way back down to what it was originally, granted that was using Mxyzptik's 10% tip. I think that luck does play a part but in the long run you will get richer. I would advise that after a win you save and stop.
