k guys im having trouble on the first mission at the studio place after i moved the bus and killed everyone and got the 3 cards and notes theres a huge marker down the road from where the bus is wut do i do? please help and by the way i fixed my problem i didnt completely read the readme forgot about the "STEP 2" folder lol and please help me thx

Well, this thread was moved into the recycle bin for some unknown reason for a few hours. Big thanks to uzer errors for restoring.

 

Will whatever mod/admin had problems with our little thread please contact me? I assume deleting the most viewed and active thread is not standard operation procedure.

 

I'm working on the walkthrough as we speak. So if you want to show some support post some screenshots.

EDIT: See, Hellfish and I work together and there's no chain of command as you seem to think.

 

Clarification - when you were new to these forums, you sought us out and offered a single zombie skin with blue Aryan-nation eyes. We asked permission to change the eye color. You did not send the skin but rather demanded that you do it yourself and that we download MSN messenger. Nobody actively wanted, desired, or persued your skin. And yet you kept posting pointless pictures and demanding we be removed from the mission showroom.

 

This is irritating when you give other people crap for posting in your topics.

ok, hellfish did want my zombies in the mod, but i had probs with school so i never got time to modify my zombies for his wich.

JUst one question... is this gonna completely replace my gta game, I've worked really hard to get my copy of vice city the way it is and I don't want to just download this and replace everything.

 

Yes, the Mod will replace your current Vice, its good practice to Install Vice from stratch, and then copy the folder and make 3/4 versions of Vice, that way, you can have a copy for personally modding, a standard copy, a copy for such mod... although doing so will use plenty of HDD space smile.gif

You are done with all available missions, though if you replay Cold Turkey, the mission that takes place at the police department, you can free Crazy Mike from his cell on the bottom floor, which should open up another eight or so missions, some of which are my favorites.

General rule of thumb - no money should exchange hands for Long Night. And if it says Zombie City on the end of it, it's filthy and you should't touch it. Ever. Tell your non-english native friends.

First great stuff, it looked so good i had to reinstall Vice City after what seems like decades. (suprised my account was still active on this board!)

 

i have the very rare instance when it crashes on loading.. but not often, and very random. no crashes in missions/after missions as of yet.

i do get a crash when exiting the game.. but tbh, as i recall, that happened with some of the other mods/cars/stuff anyway when i used to play this game alot, not a show stopper at all.

 

i also like what you did with the radio stations.. lights off, headphones on, volume low.. gives a nice creepy feel to the game. nice work enabling infinite sprint! i end up sprinting everywhere i need to go (more fun that way anyway). but its funny the first couple of missions, i was bouncing the heck out of the sprint button, before i got to the base a second time, and tested to see if it was infinite lol.

being on dial up, this was the best 4hr download i've had in ages... not counting the season return of family guy lol.. that was 11hrs hehe.

 

an off topic question, why cant i seem to use the Search Topic feature at the bottom of the pages?

Yes, the regular Vice City cheat codes work. Great if you don't like the difficulty level or want to spend some more time with the minigun. Any firetrucks or other funky behavoir we can't control at that point though.

If you do nuttertools first, ten another weapon code, you can have the minigun and a rocket launcher or flame thrower as well.

I don't really know what to say. Perhaps running the game from GTA-VC.exe would solve the problem. If you are having an unhandled exception error, there have been numerous suggested fixes in this thread, all of which meet with varying success. If you PM me with more details I can try to help you figure out the problem.

hey, ive just started playing Long night and im stuck on a bug. In the misson how you have to take the hearse with the oil drum back to the film stuidos. I get the hearse back with the drum in it and drive into the red circle the screen goes black then just returns to windows after making a beep noise. Could anyone plz help me as i really want to progress in the game.

 

PS im soz ive anyone has asked about this prob before

junkman12, go here and download the Patch for mission crash at the top left.

Then simply drop the Main.scm into the data folder. That should fix the crash. Just a heads up: if you want to get access to all the mission then make sure you release Crazy Mike form his cell on the bottom floor before you leave the police station once you get there, otherwise you will have to replay through the game to unlock them.

The real problem is all the ukraine/russian sites that sell all sorts of mods/games engines for four to fifteen bucks. I contacted the mod authors but most of them are clueless kids. I also wrote to Rockstar/Epic/other developers. I imagine the international legal hassles aren't worth the few hundred dollars they lose. I don't know any lawyers without borders. Last I checked they're still selling Long Night for a dollar or two more than the other gta mods. Bastards.

umm...... I just installed gta: long night, but it wont let me play it. every time i start the game it says "please insert Gta: Vice City CD" and the cd IS in there! I want to play it and this is real annoying. I did everything the read me said. im confused, does anyone know what i should do?

Metallica001, you're joking, right? You did bother to read at least the last few posts before signing up, right?

 

If you're serious, then you're about the fifteenth person to sign up to ask a Long Night question. We've been redundantly answering those questions and the San Andreas question for the last five or six pages now. I'd rather talk about the game instead of playing tech support. So to go with the INSTALLATION FAQ posted a day ago, there's now the SAN ANDREAS FAQ.

 

Installation/San Andreas questions will no longer be addressed. There's an email address in the readme if you really can't get it working.
