OMG I enter VRock and then I get shot killed in one hit, why? Can someone upload a savefile which has that mission completed?

do wut i do, hide behid the wall, aim at the guy, then roll out from behind and shoot or you could run behind the counter or wutever and shoot him from there its not hard thats the easiest part of the whole game

I got a question , in the game , after releasing Crazy Mike from his cell

you get a lot of new missions , i passed all of them and got to the last mission that is called sun up or something . You mentioned urlier that the

mod has diffrent endings but no mater how much i try to twist this up , i come across the same one . confused.gif Can anyone tell me how i can get to the other endings ?

 

By the way , new VROCK station is great , i liked most the part with

Umm , still waiting for replay .

Previosly someone wrought here that the diffrent endings

can only be unlocked once Crazy Mike is released from his

cell and after passing the mission called Gas run .

 

After that you get whole lot of new missions with new characters

And like , ive tryed to twist the plot in every way i could think of

but no mater what i try , i still end up at the same ending confused.gif

By the looks of it the ending is one of the good ones , i passed it

so now im just curious what are the other ones . Can anyone

this mod looks like the classic George Romero's zombie movie and the new game Dead Rising ,great mod

 

 

edit:help icant install this mod it keep appearing this:

"the script for the mod you re trying to install could not be found.please make sure the mod came with one,if it did ,then make sure it is named correctly and is in the same folder(or zip/rar file)as the rest forthat files for the mod.

 

if the mod did not come with a script file,then you can not use this installer tp install"

 

can some1 pls do

a step by step for installing this mod for dummies ,pls

hi great mod but i have this questions cause i dont know if it is like the way i am playing

 

-is there sound of moan from the zombies as i am just listening to the frases they have like "watch it" as so like if they where normal people

-is there any movie or scene in the begining ass when i press the new game it quickly starts when i am in the tank and quickly i start the mission

-how can i save in the middle of the mission

-what about the myriad and liberty infected files they are for the psp game? or they are new missions

 

and i have a problem in the second mission the one where i grab a mortuary car and get supplies i do all that but when i return to the studio then it crashes with an error

 

this is the best mod ever

alex5523, There were too many soundfiles to make adding moans and zombie grunts practical.

 

Yes, the game just starts with you in the tank and an objective.

 

You can't save in the middle of the mission.

 

Myriad and Liberty were a couple "fat albert kills zombies" quickies we made for the two community map projects.

 

Try installing the "may 10 patch" if your game is locking up on the hearse level.

Oh, I forgot to mention again if you want zombies in San Andreas, just download Defamation of Character and load the last mission script.

ok i just beat the dead rush mission where you drop the bombs now im playing as the stoner guy but there is no more missions the woman in studio d says leave me alone and the other fat woman says i dont want to talk the guy in the booth says hes busy what do i do? anuj_cop.gif

Hello all. i just joined this forum SPECIFICALLY for this post, so, here it goes. i recently purchased a copy of GTA: Vice City for this mod because of the article i saw in PC Gamer. It is great! seriously, great mod, guys. also, i had very few problems installing this mod because i read the instructions and i read this entire topic before posting unlike most of the frantic retards here that give up and just write angry posts. well, i have encountered a few problems so far that have rarely been adressed. first of all, and i know this was adressed by a poster a few messages ago, the zombies in this game make angry pedestrian comments, thus speaking english, a language that zombies have been previously unable to speak. this is not that big of a deal, but it does bother me. i realize a message from one of this mod's creators stated that they would not be creating zombie groaning noises, but any hints as to some audio files i could delete to stop these voices??? anything would be appreciated. another thing, i saw a few posts regarding the audio files that must be replaced in order for the radio to function correctly after using the gta-vc.exe launcher. i did get the cd error like many others, if not all other people that installed this mod. i renamed LIPS.adf to VROCK.adf, but am i supposed to rename all of the .adf files in the AuidioLC folder to official ones, or am i supposed to replace them, but keep them at their default names? confusing indeed. hope most people that post here don't have to read that too many times... wink.gif I am one of the people that side with the developers on saying this is a total conversion. you guys did a very good job and i am sure you spent a long time and worked very hard to get this mod off the ground. i appreciate everything done here. the GTA:VC engine was a wonderful programming choice for a zombie game given that it is meant to support MANY NPC characters onscreen at the same time and have many choices for driveable vehicles. now... i am sorry, but i do have a few complaints. first of all, zombies should not be able to open doors. more specifically car doors. i was ever so satisfied when i let my tank get mobbed by zombies and they did not pull me from the vehicle, but i tried the same stunt in a car, and got pulled from it just like when an angry person does it in Vice City. i am all for being hit off of a motorcycle, though. biggrin.gif second, the zombies run at you at all times. this is not nearly as big of a complaint, as this means they are more like dawn of the dead zombies, or just thoroughly composed zombies with strong leg muscles. but every time you are in an open area, it is like the entire zombie population recognizes that you, the one player, is standing in a vulnerable area and rushes to find you. rarely, do you find so many zombies with so many good noses. tounge.gif ONE MORE.... (sorry to b*tch so much) but i have NEVER played a zombie game where the zombies conciously dodge traffic. notify.gif it is OKAY! complaints aside, this is an AWESOME mod and THANK YOU Fighting Hellfish for such a great development. i would greatly appreciate it if someone would at least make an effort to help me with my minor problems. if anyone feels like responding personally, my email address is [email protected] . i am very sorry for such a long post and very sorry for writing it in one, long, loosly-strung-together paragraph. Thanks for taking the time to read the thread and write in. Glad you dug the game.

 

Vice City standardly reads radio stations from the AUDIO folder. So you'd have to rename our radio station files to Vice names and then place them in AUDIO, replacing the normal files. It's a couple minutes effort for a variety of static and the new VROCK. I think it helps the atmosphere some.

 

The answer to most of your complaints is that basically we had to work around the technical limitations of working with the Vice City engine. Frankly they have always bugged me too. But we do what we can.

 

If you get the only replacement tool anybody's made for the pedestrian audio, you'll find thousands of audio dialog snippets - many of them never actually heard in game. You could feasibly but impractically go in, listen to all the files, and replace the ones you most often hear in game. However, every time you replace one you have to rebuild the entire archive. This takes more than a few minutes of processing time. And then comes the problem of distribution. A handful of radio stations already has caused too many problems. Recording zombie sounds that doesn't become irritating would be another hurdle. Unless somebody makes a tool that lets you replace all of a pedestrian's dialog all at once, there's not a lot we can do.

 

We talked a good deal about the door lock issue, particularly when coding the mission where the smoker is in the cop car while the girl runs into the pharmacy. If I remember right it would look really awkward when zombies would pull on your door handle. It also takes away some of the threat/menace. I'm sure you've also noticed the catch with the motorcycle is that sometimes a zombie will hop on back and patiently wait to be driven around.

 

The zombies running for you made for better gameplay. We even tried to spawn zombies that just wander around aimlessly, based on the same line of thinking that not all of them would pursue you, but they wouldn't take an interest in the player at all. Having a few dozen zombies that stood around no matter what and even sometimes fled in terror after you hit them just didn't work. In the Fat Albert mall mission you'll see them shambling around aimlessly - no living meat around/nobody else in a hurry - but will become annoyed by your rc helicopter. We couldn't disable doding traffic. Just drive fast and don't give them the chance to dodge. Zombie fiction is a flexible genre.

Are you guys going to do this for San Andreas as well?

I said way back on Oct 27 2005:

 

"If you're just about zombie murdering in San Andreas, check this post here.

 

It explains how to get to the zombie portion of Defamation of Character."

 

And if you don't want to click the link, it says:

"We considered doing a zombie mod for San Andreas, and will continue playing around with the code. If we can get something that we are happy with, then we will probably move ahead with the zombie mod, but in the meantime you can download Defamation of Character and the patch, and drop the Post Main.scm into data/scripts."

I go in the door of the Central office of Polices, I go in the store I catch the electric saw, weeds one a thousand zombis, killed ones 1000. rampage_ani.gif

I come back then in the door the Central and nothing it happens. suicidal.gif

Wassup guys, look, I've registered to this forum just for this post (but the forum looks really nice, so I expect to spent some time here too... tounge2.gif ) I've finished the game. AWESOME work! To all the staff of Hellfish: REALLY NICE JOB! Of course, the civillian comentaries along the adventure, and some other things that cant be helped with, but that's just some problems amog a great game. The mod is really a total conversion: New whole story (and what a story!), fresh new mission (those very cool!), new characters and everything!

I got a doubt too, I finished the game twice I think (Why the "I think" u must be asking ur selves?) Simple: I passed the mission "Drop Dead Rush" but I hadn't freed that guy in the jail in the first mission with the stoner guy, so there where no more missions avaiable, the soldier died in the kamikaze attack, everyone would die in the studio 'cause they didn't escape. The End (Must be, if not tell me what to do to get another ending!)

 

____========== NOW THIS A SPOILER FOR SURE========____

 

Then I began the game again, but this time I freed the guy in the jail, never saw him again, but the pimp guy, and the fat guy appeared in the studio, so the story continued this time and I got the ending where the soldier comes from nowhere with the tank, blasts everything, gets in the boat and the soldier and the stoner guy went to the yatch. The End (The game crashs when the THE END screen appear, everytime, so I can't save, I don't bother biggrin.gif )

 

So as I asked before, is these two the only two endings? (OBS: I did all the missions avaiable to get the yatch ending.) If not, how do i get the others please.

Can you help me? Every time I do the mission of the "Gas run" (protect truck with gas) A biker explodes my truck. is there any trick or hint for this missions?

Man, all i can say is: Focus on the driver side of the truck, try to take out EVERY enemy, perhaps, if u didn't notice, you can crawl even when you are on the helicopter. So this is what u can do to improve your aim, use it. It REALLY WORK! After that you just have to concentrate on the bikers on the trip back... after the bikers give up them you begin to worry 'bout the zombies...

There are how many endings in the game?

There are 2 endings. I have archieved both.

 

In the normal one you rescue Crazy Mike. Help the Pimp and listen to fat Albert. Then they all escape by the yacht and live hapily ever after.

In the Alternatory ending you don't help crazy mike, leaving him surrounded by zombies. Then the boss calls you and sends you to steal the tank. When you get to the tank your planes engine gets on fire and you Kamikaze into the tank , inmediatly killing your self. Strangely this time you didn't survive like on the fist ending. Just because you didn't save Crazy Mike .

Ok, thanks for the info...

 

And anyway, to the guys of Fighting Hellfish, try doing a mod based totally in Resident Evil, creatures and etc. if possible (I'm just wondering how will you guys render and give the creatures it's movements... anyway, it don't hurt to ask!)

And also, u guys must be sick of hearin this but, DO THIS TO GTA SA... since so much people are asking, why not to do it??

Everyone is askin, so propably everyone and some more people will certaily play it!
