[REL]GTA: Long Night

o yeh who is Crazy Mike? Is he the stoner or the army guy? And who is Ramirez?

Crazy Mike is the Curly Bob guy, don't know who Ramirez is.

 

I still can't pass that mission due to the bug that I have.

Crazy Mike's the fellow in the prison cell at the police station. Ramirez is your tank gunner in the first mission.

 

The mission should end after Crazy Mike reaches the twinkie factory. It's the easiest, zombie slayingest mission in the game. If it's not fading out and ending the dream, try the mission patch.

 

You have to get down the burning stairs on "Playing with Fire" by jumping down flights at certain locations, or cheating your ass off. Be sure you grab the screwdriver. Go outside and turn on the sprinklers. Then take care of the pyro.

Smellton, we ran into that error once but it didn't repeaton the next replay. I'll send you a save game next time I play through.

 

It's okay I found the problem.

 

When I first played through, I didn't know about the nap missions until I had done all the missions but the last. When I got up to the mission I had trouble with the garage door that led into the Twinkie factory was shut making the mission impossible to complete, probably because I had completed the Fat Albert missions.

 

So I went through again, doing the nap missions as soon as I unlocked them and the garage door was open, so I could complete the mission.

 

If you were ever planning to port the mod to SA, you should fix this bug, or you could make an updated patch for VC. I have had just about every mod there is, and I like this mod the most. I would love to see a version 2 for VC or SA.

1. Nap Mission - Is the OPEC (protect your gas) the last Nap Mission? [it just repeats even though the message "You got him" appears before returning to the bed.]

 

2. Drop Dead Rush (dropping dynamite from plane on gang vehicles) - After the message that the Tank is located on the GPS, I see the marker on the Radar but nothing on the ground. Is there some target on the ground to aim at?

There should be more nap missions, dunno what the problem is

The marker is in the sky.

2. If by the markers can't work well you mean it crashes, try the patch. If you mean it slows down, it's because your processor is a bit slow.

3. After you park the bus, head back to the booth where you first received the note about the keycards.

 

 

The Chronicles, If you don't free Crazy Mike, you're forced to live in the zombie apocalypse forever. If you free Mike, the game would just crash out back to desktop on our computer; sorry about the reset.

 

stevenmiller6, Download the mission crash patch. There was a flag variable error in that dream we corrected. Your savegame should be fine.

 

As for Drop Dead Rush, there should be a marker in the sky. Keep pressing W during the cutscene.

Dreams - I already have the Long_Night_Fix.zip installed. Is that the mission patch you mean?

 

Drop Dead Rush - Competed. Mission started from Tank located on GPS and Markers were clear.

 

Your mod was a gift, and I am gratefull!

Hi, I just downloaded the Long Night mod, installed it, added the patch and tried to run it. The gta-ln.exe was asking me for the CD, I tried the gta-vc.exe though and it ran. (This is also the answer to Wooz's question. READ THE FAQ FIRST! http://hellfish.gtajunkies.com/install.html )

 

Now, very first mission, I'm in a tank, trying to get to the Radio Station. I get there, enter inside, try to walk, a FREE SPEECH message appears and suddently I get shot dead! After several tries I get to see that I'm getting shot by a Mexican (?) with a shotgun that attacks me on site. I tried to kill him (it worked) and then went to the deck to insert the tape. I get this feeling though that this is not how it was meant to be. I tried pressing the tab (action) button but nothing happened, plus I see that other people talk to some guy (and crash after saying yes if they don't got the patch). Am I doing something wrong; Is there a way to talk to this guy or the only way I can get through him is by doing it over his dead body?

 

On another note; Since I got to run this mission several times and since the tank isn't the fastest of vehicles I figured out a way of making it run a little faster: I turned the turret 180 degrees (the turret is facing the back of the tank) and started firing repeatedly! After a few shots the speed of the tank increases substantialy (although if I keep firing it soon becomes hard to control). It even helps when you make a sharp (90 degrees) turn, It DOESN'T help if you are using it WHILE trying to turn though as the extra speed tends to send you flying to the wall (or in that very first turn's case, the sea).

 

Thanks for reading this and could please somebody help me because it's really annoying.

Keyper, you cannot speak to the DJ in the funny hat. He always tries to kill you, but after he dies a sphere should appear, if you stand inside of it, it should tell you to head to the film studio, at which point you simply return to the door, which should also be marked with a sphere at this point.

really wanna play it but i can only play the first mission angry.gif

 

when i get to the studio, lance walks in and the screen either fades to white and an error occurs or the screen turns black and an error occurs sad.gif

 

its one of them send or dont send microsoft errors, downloaded the patch aswell and no luck. also the "zombies" just look like normal people, even though i installed it through gta mod installer and done both steps???

just google it for f*cks sake. jeez, its not that hard.

 

as for the mod. its fantastic. very well done. although i dont think it qualifies as a TC.

a TC should change everything. all this mod does is add new missions, reskin the peds and put the 'everyone kills player' cheat on - as well as some minor aesthetic changes such as the load screens. a real tc completely changes the entire game. for instance miriad islands changes the map, missions, cars, ped models, and the player. i think long night is more of a 'partial convertion'.

but i'm waffling.
