BIG HELL Posted April 11, 2005 Share Posted April 11, 2005 I only recently realised that Stallone was actually be a pretty good actor in these movies. As he is actually pretty intelligent in real life, his portrayal of a boxer who has taken a few too many hits to the head is pretty good. Burning-Ice Posted April 13, 2005 Share Posted April 13, 2005 My favorites were I, III (Mr. T!!), and IV. II and V were okay but in V, I noticed a lot of the punches were fake. Don't get me wrong I know they are fake but I could really tell that Rocky wasn't actually punching Tommy Gunn. Especially the last punch when Rocky basiclly punched air and Tommy Gunn fell back. Usually when people make sequels to movies, they suck, but I think the Rocky series stayed strong most of the way. upcoming Rocky VI will complete the vasectomy. I only just watched Rocky and II the last two weeks and I have to say I really liked the first Rocky. Sylvester Stallone was a pretty good actor in it. Rocky II was alright. When Adrien ot pregnant I thought it was going over the top a bit. But the final fight was great. "Hey the numbers add up to 9, that's a good thing" lol On Friday it's Rocky III and Mr T!!!! Ive got them on dvd but other wise i would be tuning in to uk gold because the rocky series is unmissable especially because it is quite rare on tv these days. The first one was really awesome and by far the best of the series, but I think that's just because it was something new and rad. Rocky 2 - 4 were all the exact same process of events as Rocky 1. Rocky 5 was different, and that returned to novelty and held my interest for the longest. Rocky 3 was complete arse. On paper it looks rediculously awesome, Mr. T, annoying old man Mickey dies and running on the beach in short shorts. But it is by far the worst movie. Mr T was great as Clubber Lang and I was glad to see Apollo get more of a role in the film and don't get me started on Hulk Hogan playing Thunderlips lol.
