Stuck on 99.47%

I too am stuck on 99.47%. But I know what it is. It's I'm missing 1 Oyster.

 

Now I don't know who to believe... Some people say if you have used cheats and saved that it glitches and you can never ever get 100% on that save file. Then some people say cheats can only 'glitch' your game temporarily but everything can be done.

 

Which is true??

 

Because I have gone over and over all the Locations of Oysters on the map. Checked pictures. And everything. I can only think that there is some Oyster that has glitched away just like Basketballs on the courts and It'll never appear.

 

OR maybe I have to UN-glitch my gym glitch I'm having SO that i can be able to find the last oyster?

It might help for you to start a new game, use the never wanted, infinite oxygen, and spawn a vortex (or another boat) and carefully go over the list of the 50 oysters. That way you should be able to find them all, meaning you won't stop looking until you've found the one you're at. And then once you know where all 50 are, you can go back to your 99.47% game and go over the 50 spots again. Since you just found them in another game, you should be able to find them quickly this time around.

 

That's what I'd do if I was in your position.

just go over them one by one in order that map is good beause it shows you both map and location pics.... i belive the only cheats that can screw up the game is the ped riot becuase it cannot be turned off and cause a number of storyline "misphaps" (like maddog jumps right away on one of his missions) but i maybe wrong ...

But I do have the unfortunate feeling that when I find all 50 Oysters in the New Game that I'll realize that I looked in all the right spots but the Oyster has dissapeared completely from the game.

Cheetah check where the end of the runway is at the san fiero airport is and you might find it

 

and even look where the one that you already know where they are thats how i found my 5 oyster collections

but it's really irritating to date here, she doesn't seem to show up. I read it on the forum, I don't seem to be the only one

but is it true you can kill her and then get the keycard to play the mission?

Most of that list is stuff I haven't done. I have about 70% on my first mem card too

I was suprised I could get that far, but 8-track is next to impossible. I complained about it early on as the first event I tried...really lame!

Getting qualifying standings in stadium events is a trick. Flying races are required too, if I missed that on the list.

 

Finding all the oysters, photos, etc...even with a map is somewhat tricky (ok, the oysters aren't hehe)

For Millie, just date her in the gimp suit and it's a cinche, I think you can avoid flowers, dildo, etc, with it too

Thanks to EVERYone who helped out.. I know some people might have been noticing my constant whining about not finding those last few items but I really appreciate everyone who gave me guidlines and pointers it really did help.

 

Thanks a ton to Craig. For insisting that the final Oyster must be somewhere out there even when I doubted it a lot.

 

I felt so relieved when I dove in that pool and saw the oyster floating there! It feels great.

I've seen enough people on enough forums mentioning the hundreds (or even thousands) of cheats they've used and the fact that they've got 100% to think that if cheating messes up your chances of getting 100%, that it's either a non-existent or rare enough risk to be not worrying about.

 

My advice: Get a couple of good Oyster guides and go through each of them until you're convincned that you've really missed one of them.

 

I've seen a few Vice City players insist that they've found a glitch when they've just missed a package or two and I've had difficulties myself trying to find the last couple of graffiti locations because of a glitch in San Andreas that allows you to spray a graffiti location without registering it.

Oh I hope that's the last mission I must do, because I am stuck at the exact same numbers 99.47%. If swing says it worked then dating Millie is a must for completing to 100%.

 

I've done the mission before, but didn't save it. There aren't any green '$' dollar signs to do right? Ah I'll find out if I see the credits rollin' down.

Tim: You don't need to date her at all, but you need to get the keycard by dating her or killing her. What mission do you think is left for you, "breaking the bank at caligulas"?

Yes I think so. I thought that's the mission at the end you must jump from a roof using parachute to land next to the heli. Don't know for sure. I'll check it out right now.

Well if you are at 99.47% and haven't played that mission, it will give you 100%.

Glad to hear you found it swing. And I'm glad that I've helped deflate the arguement that cheating makes items disappear. There's been too many people that say "I cheated now the oysters (or tags) are gone!" But after they look hard enough, they always find what they're missing.

Well if you are at 99.47% and haven't played that mission, it will give you 100%.

I've dated Millie up to 100%, so I completed 'Breaking the bank at Caligula's' before! Didn't know. I'll try the special list from Craig Kostelecky tonight.

Also I must say that I cheat alot, for fun not for missions, so I never save after using it.

Freight Train mission is the one I've missed (thanks to Craig Kostelecky's list). I though I had it already, probably not saved it.

 

I didn't noticed I was done, because I didn't see any credits!?! Someone here said you'll see credits after completing. Maybe the PC version does and not PS2, I dunno.

 

Anyway I'm glad I made it to 100%! I received cash, Rhino and Hydra (seems you can't go up there with stairs only climb up a wall behind the basket).

Guess what? I'm stuck to 99.47% too.

 

I can't see what I miss. I do all the R3 mission, buy all safe house, do all courier mission, do all missions, win all race (stadium race too), I get Gold in all school, I do truck mission, Quarry mission, I do the 3 challenges (3 chilliad, NRG and BMX), I've got the gym move, win the 4 ammu-nation challenge, import 30 cars, collect all tags, horseshoes, oysters, snapshot.

 

I think I do anything, but it miss something.

 

I have a bizzar glitch in Angel Pine. Can it be this glitch the problem? I have a yellow dot on my map ("Destination" in the legend). When I go there, there are nothing, there no red circle. When I start a mission, the dot still there. Can it be the problem?

 

Help me please.

Rosario, did you do the 2 levels of freight train missions? Did you do FOUR stadium missions? There are 2 on different days in Las Venturas.

 

The yellow dot on your map won't hurt your progress, it's just a harmless but annoying glitch.

Yes I did the both level of freight mission ans I win four stadium mission. When I look on the checklist, I check everything. I remember do anything on that checklist.

I found what I miss. It's the NRG 500 Challenge. I already did it, but I surely not save after that.

 

I'm now at 100%.

Use Craig's 99.47% checklist, if you think you did something but it doesn't say it on your pause screen stats, do it again. I would start with the 3 cities' gym moves, and the 2 freight train missions.
