OMG I SEE BUILDINGS!!!! About bloody time too tounge.gif it is getting soo close to release I can smell it, too bad i won't be able to test it because I am going away on saturday for 3-6 weeks cryani.gif you could email it to me bro and I might be able to try and get on the net sometime...

Nice work on it bro, it looks 20million times better with buildings biggrin.gif .

Didnt checked this mod for sometime been busy with some stuff but i see that your still putting good quality and a very big amount of time on the mod and i see things getiing real good.

The Highway is beautifeul, not to mention the textures in the nature and on the rocks.

You may have stated this already but after a quick flick through I can't see it. I guess you have plans to convert this modification to SA? Very nice work so far, just goes to show what one person can achieve when they put their midn to it. Keep uo the good work.

GT-1, I'm positive he said he isn't going to port this to San Andreas.

 

I thought I had posted earlier, but apparently not.

 

Anyways:

 

1.) It's great to see Knife offering help, he can do more than I can.

2.) I've run into some problems with one of the missions I'm working on. I want to finish it before attempting anything else (I'm about 85% through with it, just need to fix a problem with a marker involved in the mission and add some 'cutscenes').

heyho folks

GT-1- the plan is for gta -vice at the moment

but i dont see any problems for it going into san an -engine

first things first though ,and thats getting it out for gt-vice

- ill probably be asking for some advice soon on the best way

to release the files its going to be called

 

GTA-ILLEGAL- sector-1-(BETA_1)

this will come with a roadnetwork, plus some buildings-and some scenery- confused.gif ..ary

anywayz, there will also be loads of big open holes dozingoff.gif so no drifting away to far from

the main roads as of yet ,

 

Kurropt_Antagonist- i no nothing about mission scripting so its wonderful you

can help ill soon be sending the files to you -plus K-nife has offered

his services too , nice one guys if you guys can mix mission stuff together

that would be AWSOME i think colgate.gif

k-nife- youre welcome to put anything in ive already given some

ideas to (Kurropt) but its pretty open to all ideas ill send the files too you

Hell yeah you improved your mapping skills very nice indeed, the mapping looks very nice nice now but the map looks a bit empty try to build some more buildings.

buildings ...yeh have'nt done many, gotta say

land mass n roads come first then release then

more buildings ive done some already (about 14) would have

more but still having the occasional COL file prob still

Junox you were saying you had problems with your colfiles i think thats just that the colfile has to much small faces that creates invisable walls i know how to get rid of some invisable walls but it mosly occurs with stairs and small pieces of wall so to get rid of it remove all the pieces that the player is to big for to fall in like tops of small walls and you can always remove the bottom if you cant walk on there happy.gif BTW the last picture right under is the best building looks awesome.

Actually, something helpful would be, when you've finished your model in Sketchup; save a copy and edit that to be a COL file.

 

By that, I mean, delete windows and doors (if they stick out from buildings or if you created a box on the building then added a door texture).

 

EXAMPLES:

Notice how I removed the 'slants' on the edges of the buildings.

I should add, however, I should have 'removed' the door entrance to that building (as Rockstar does in GTA3/VC/SA). And I also, deleted the walkway (which was WRONG, as you walk through the walkway now (!!!))...

 

I realize that wasn't the best way to do things, but I hope it does help somewhat. sigh.gif

Kurropt_Antagonist- handy little bit of advice that

was struggling ( well gave up with my zebra crossing)-lolipops

but now they dont crash the game .....sweet

changed the col file to a basic square copy

works fine biggrin.gif

Hey, glad I could help.

 

Good news on the coding, I finished that mission (that I think) I was talking about a few days ago. I can't believe how simple that was to solve a particular problem. All that's left to do is get some decent cutscenes and get a new GXT written up.

 

If you can give me a copy of your files at least ONE DAY before you release them publically, I can get the Main.scm out at the same time (assuming that I get the files sometime between a Monday or Thursday).

sorry not been posting for few days ( been busy)

still trying to get all the map sections joined together

nice n smooth..... it's a fu(cough) er anyways

tried something new built 2-3 footbridges

plus a single road bridge and a dual 1 also (pretty basic )

Nina Fater--- at the time being im on vice trees ive made a few of my

own but not happy with them yet

im going to make new ones , at some time, in the near future or if anyone

out there would like to contribute a tree or 2 that would be sweet no

rip of trees fromm other games only ones made by thyself

 

k-nife heyho still working. ill soon be sending you the files for coding

maybe when this mod is released i could apply for a myriad lot

 

Kurropt_Antagonist nice one dont worry youll get the mod 1 week before release

so you can add youre missions have you chatted with K-nife

about ideas or is it cool?
