Quite an intersting approach to modeling you got here going on.

What I was wondering about:Do you have a goal? A certain point where you would call it finished? Or is this an evergoing project?

but ....yeh at the time being it seems to be but there shall be a release

main goal mmm just find it enjoyable to drive along a 3d landscape that i

constructed and if other people enjoy it hey thats cool something for nothing

A certain point where you would call it finished?- when all roads and land section

are reconnected in gtav ill be happy but then ill prob rework the landscape to look more realistic . ill see how thing go

anyone else want to add a sculpture before i release the files

it will be a dodgey beta when it comes out sector ---1 i looking at

Awesome, I'll send you the 'final' re-textured version whenever I get it done. =\

 

Quick question. Are you doing your own paths? From the pictures you've shown us, it seems you are. Are you using Ehsan's Path Editor? Or are you manually editing the paths.ipl yourself? I've been trying to figure out both, but with little luck.

junox, I could *attempt* to create a mission or two. It's been awhile, so I need to get my feet wet again, but I'd gladly try.

 

You did receive my updated sculpture, didn't you?

... You should REALLY shrink the sand/grass texture. That may require you to redo that particular section though.

 

Quick question, how do you go about making curved roads in Sketchup? Everytime I try, I can't seem to get it right. It's always uneven.

nice one redid the sand grass texture s there better now

also decided to stick a little section of sector -2 in BONus

but cant add to much of sector -2 or ill never get this mod out in 2 week 's

when doing textures eg grass to rock instead of both beinghorizontal

make sure there vertical then you dont have to flip them

Hey, junox, again, thanks for the tutorial, it helped a lot. Sadly, because of wonky COL files, I'm going to put map modding aside for the moment. sad.gif

 

Anyways, I spent the majority of the weekend playing around with the Main.scm again. I've pretty much got the hang of things again. If you have any ideas for missions, I will definitely give it a shot.

 

Although, I'll probably have to wait for your Beta release to get anything done. What with the coords and all. tounge.gif

He does most (if not all) of the work in Sketchup. I guess if you've spent as much time as he has, you'll learn a thing or two.

 

Although, I did see a webpage where someone used a program to create hills and mountains that could easily be ported to Sketchup, but I'll be damned if I can find it again.

been busy on col files and moomapper

been trying to make all the map section join up nice n tidy

( god its difficult ) or should i say f'*kc, time consuming aswell

but getting there ..

Maybe the yellow is a bit much, but the overall look of it is kinda mediteranian, wich makes some yellow touches a good idea.

It makes it different from other mods but i still prefer the textures that Illsprit uses for ILLSUB islands like Black Mesa maybe you should try those out and see how it works out wow.gif
