Urban Legend

Junox help me out here man. Which main.scm does the game actually use? There are four in the data folder.

 

main.scm

plopMAIN.scm

XXmain.scm

XXXmain.scm

 

??? To install the mod I moved all the files from your download to the VC folder. Is this correct?

first 1, all the rest are old and renamed so game wouldnt load them you can just delete the other 3 if you want

Already can't wait for the new installer! Also i wanted to say, the map is really huge and cool, and something else, please don't change the timecyc of the mod, it's suitable for the map.

Hi ,

Yeah Ive had some real issues over the year's with the mod... lost many file's a while back, Computer HD crash

i'm working on some new sections just now placing in-game and testing i did post a small video on youtube a while back

dead punk shame you said you could put peds in-game - i just presumed that you could obviously rigg as well

 

Anyways just started putting the clover section in-game and another turn off + garage

Yeah unfortunately it won't work right for me on Win7.

 

Someone should really start getting this to San Andreas tounge.gif

 

 

But I don't think this will die anytime soon, it's still coming along really well smile.gif

The updates are good as allways.

 

What's your long-term plan for this mod? It's a great mod but it does have some bits that need a lot of work, the map's files are very un-organised and imho really should be re-added properly onto a map-cleaned VC install grouped into less ide+ipl+col files. icon14.gif

What are your thoughts on doing that? You could go one better and only add the best parts so that all the buggy bits are fixed while being added to the optimised version and even make new paths from scratch on roads that are wide enought to work. Could you upload the latest map? (i uninstalled it and the old x4 link is dead) Just the gta3.img+data folder if possible. I might be able to help optimise the map, it depends on what you want to do.

Maybe the map is getting to big?! You can't map all of Europe. tounge.gif

any positive input would be more than welcome ..

i working on these 3 map sections to put ingame i have tried to organise this as best as possible

all road sections are in 1 ipl ide col

same as extra object - generic

buildings have there own file- based on areas locations

land is the same principle

 

i have attached the lamppost to the road files

any other suggestions would be welcome

longterm to keep modelling and adding object's ingame to vice to create a whole new world . . .

I keep missing your updates! Loving it as always, you really deserve more comments than you get, meh I guess most people are too caught up in the newer incarnations of the series than the classics!

 

Personally I love your work, am still looking forward to playing it!

- im still working hard on this monster , just about finished a few new sections thatll need tested soon..... I'm sending frank-s out 1... do you still have vice city?

ill send you a tester soon if you want ((need some help )) itll just consist of 4 unconnected land section 2 city section s 2 country road section

hi folks finally getting somewhere again with this MONSTER MOD

 

I'm giving out some road files to test this week to developers modders... So far i have 2 new recruits to help

i always finish everything i start , mind you this is Rather long

ive been adding the first batch of many road file's to the map now, all together runs smooth so far no crashing yet with roads .

ive found a few col errors and texture errors i have to fix and was wondering if coleditor2 can fix collision vertex point errors

 

coleditor 2 can i delete vertex points in col2

i just do this as a hobby guys not for sale i will give it to the community

there are some illegals out there you can download and work

i think the 1 at gta garage works but you have to disable i think the last two entries

download the 1 at gta garage run it with gta vice city developer ...when it crashes on loading itll say which ipl ide it failed on i think there are col files not added (oops) dont load that folder and the rest of game (SHOULD) work

sorry i cant be more helpfull i lost 2 hdd with most info on ive had to extract from old instlalls and recreate alot of the map again

just now im extracting any files i can from a data recovery unit, updating them and installing in-game and retesting and fixing text etc and passing on to FRANK.S whos has kindly offered to test them then add verteX paint etc
