Two of my friends raced to 85 slayer and when they got there out of like 100 monsters they got like 18 whips, if I remember correctly. asimov Posted December 6, 2005 Share Posted December 6, 2005 just change it to something smaller at the slayer master above fally, in that druid village place near whit wolf mountain. I want to practice Slayer but i dont want to have to keep on walking all over the place looking for Slayer mosters lvl 64, your best bet would be to use the edgeville or canafis slayer master. well, canafis is well far to walk so cut him out (unless you've got a task in the slayer hut) but i don't think the edge master has a cb lvl 70 roof, so you might be able to use him. if you 80+ i suggest chaledear, you can run to her from lumby and not slow to walking once, then just use ring of dueling to tele away, it is real fast. I need to do slayer so I can go raise my range to 60. I promised my pure mage friend that as soon as I get my whip we're going to duel... I want red hides so I at least have somewhat of a chance. asimov Posted December 6, 2005 Share Posted December 6, 2005 slayer is ok,, i mean, you may aswell get some slaya lvl's whilst getting your cb up, especially when the drops are so awesome. i rekon i got like 400k worth of drops just from casually getting up my slaya lvl to 61. also yakuza, i suggest gettin to blk drag, really show your mage friend by ranging him. He still hasnt done desert treasure, but odds are Im putting no movement on as a rule. 70 range is an unrealistic goal right now. I mean it'd be freakin awesome, but I want at least 60 for a good step into range. I hate blue hides anyway Im hoping for a slayer assignment where I can easily range the monster, like drags or kalphites or something along those lines. Black demons would own pretty hardcore. But unfortunately I cant raise my combat level until Im done with nat crafting. 4 more levels and Im heading to laws. 350ea w00t w00t. Plus laws = no abyss. It may involve walking, this is true, but saving my stuff is a great thing. According to rumor out arond the forums, glories might not work on entrana anymore. I mean literally wtf. Tele to draynor plz? I'll but a lot more glories when I get to laws, and I'll get a lot more money for possibly 2 whips? Nah I want to go mage really really bad and finally do mage arena. Mage is the hardest yet most rewarding skill out there. Plus ancients would be good. I want at least 79 mage to go pk'ing. My friend can teleblock, actually a lot of my friends can teleblock. So pk'ing with them will be fun. I obviously have a lot of time today. Im in my second period class at school and we've got about another hour left in here. might as well go to the forums eh? According to my calculations and rumors, my friend might be selling as low as 3.2M. 4k nats is how much I'll need for 3M. So I'll need 200 extra K, short of earning it. Im trying to get people to donate to "yak's whip fund", and so far Ive raised a whole 50k. Yeah laws would be pretty boring, but if I have the determination and patience to get to 75 wc'ing, I can probably craft quite a bit of laws. Link i think someone was telling porkie pies. also yakuza getting slayer up is easier when you have melee tasks, so don't start until you get whip f sho'. asimov Posted December 7, 2005 Share Posted December 7, 2005 (edited) okay wildfire *pats wildfire on head*. my friend who owns the red pee hat said if the price ever goes above 100m (in a few years, i don't think he will sell for a loong time) will give me several mil, which will totally spoon ass rule. that inspired me to make the big list of things i am going save for/buy torag platbody/legs (cheaper/better than drag) get whip back full ahrims keep my santa i figure a good melee outfit would be whip cooking gaunts/r00n boots torag body/legs rune kite, maybe granite sheild, looks a little better and has same stats as obby sheild, and it is 1/5th the cost, dunno why everyone wants em. warrior helm legends cape/glories/welth, the usual deal. do you rekon i should toss the warrior helm and get the torag helm? i figure the attack/strength bonuses of the helm would be more handy than the *slight* increase in def for the torag helm. of course i won't get the hammers cause they blow. Oh man I seriously will pay you back (even though you dont play) or find some way to pay you back. Maybe I'll go WoW when I get a job. Current whip fund total: 2.8M Current whip price: 3.75M Im gonna buy a lot cheaper from friends who have 85 slayer. Like almost 500k cheaper. Which will be great since I have enough nats for about 3.2M right now and Im probably gonna go home and craft to my level (613 more nats to 52). Giving me a good 600k. 3.4M by this weekend? Yeah thats exactly how much I needed for whip with pure nat crafting. So its not like Im not making effort. I broke 3.1M by crafting my own nats and buying 1500 yew longs and I had my friend high alch them for me since he needs like 2600 alchs until he gets 85 mage. He gave me back every penny. So I dont "scav" off of people billy. I mean its just a whip fund, its not like a "plz give while I stand in edgeville bank while mooching off more monies". With Asimov's 600k I will actually have exactly enough for whip. But I wont buy it yet since I want at least 200k cash cushion. Plus Ive been saving up for whip for an abyssmal amount of time now. My 2nd best friend on that game bought his whip, went pk'ing with it, lost it, went to save up for another one, bought full Ahrim's instead. Oh well, Ive got enough nats right now to get me to 60 mage and get some nice money. 720k for the yew longs, high alch 768ea comes out to a clean 921k. Its cheaper to just sell the nats, but I need 60 mage badly. I might just skip it this time since Im uber crafting for whip, but I think Im only about <2700 nats away from 54 rc'ing. Im almost confident in me getting a level today. My new abyss strategy has kept me alive the past couple of trips. I consider a trip all of my glory charges to edge (24). My new strategy is nothing really new, its only a prototype. But I got myself a small pouch and as we all know that holds 3 ess. Well that takes 1 spot leaving 2 open and 25 ess. I stuff camelot teleport runes in that spot and wha-la! I have a way out of danger without lowering my wanted nats per trip ratio. Not much of a discovery Im pretty sure everyone would have thought of it eventually, but I like to feel special sometimes. I will have a whip by tomorrow, that is my goal. EDIT: Bigbilly, the best drop Ive ever got was 2 rune meds from lessers in 1 trip. High alched those suckers. I have a pic, however, of my friend getting d legs from metals. Im almost 53 rc'ing, which means I'll only be about 1500 ess away from 54 and I'll move onto laws. Slight increase in profit, slight increase in mage xp. Only problem is I wont be getting money from that mage xp as I would in alching. Im thinking about going down into the abyss in hopes of another pouch drop, that will get me a little faster towards my goal. I'll take a pic of whip in my bank... since I cant use it yet.
