silver007 Posted March 30, 2005 Share Posted March 30, 2005 (edited) Well ive been playing runescape for about 2 years now, which is since Runescape Classic, my name is matthew0072, (hey new Smilies! ) like many people i got hooked, and havent given up ive become a pretty good player, Combat level 54, and Mining level 55, ive killed those big red beasts called lesser demonds that are level 71 however, i share everyones pain, Runescape is flooded with Noobs and younger players, i find people are all talk no action, they like to think there the best person playing the game, so they call others names, walk around thinking there the best, ask for free stuff, and laugh at you when they think they've done something better then you, and do stupid stuff like "Claim" rocks as there own to mine, which is stupid, then i come with my rune pickaxe and take there ore from there rocks, lol i find when you start, Runescape is unclear on what the main "objective" the game is, your given instrutions on how to so stuff, then your sent out into the world of coarse you find out the "objective" is to be the best you can be, and be better than everyone else, just go around, compelte quests, and gain experiance in every one of the skills, ive completed all the free quests except for the hardest one, the Dragon slayer quest, the Dragon you have to kill is over level 100, and im only level 51, so i need to level up, the only way to level up is to train by fighting things, and the only way i can level up fast enough, is to fight lesser demons, but in order to do that, i need armor, and good armor at that, the most expensive and best armor avalible to free people, is Rune although ive bought a Rune Long sword at 32k, and have a Rune medium helmet i got from fighting lessers, i only have an addy plate mail body, and nolegs, i had addy plate legs, until i loss them, i want Rune Plate legs now, thats my goal for now, then training, then Dragon slayer, Rune Plate legs are 64K (64000) Coins, thats more then ive ever had, ive had 32k (32000) coins twice, to get my rune long sowrd and rune pickaxe So the fastest way to earn money is to mine Ores, Smelt them into bars, make the bars into things, lately ive been making Steel Bars, it takes 1 Iron Ore, and 2 Coal to make 1 steel bar, so what i do is with nothing in my inventory, i mine and fill up my inventory with ores then go back to my bank to deposit it, then go another 2 times, eventually i have 12 steel bars, which i make armor out of and sell in one round, ill make 5 to 7k (5000 to 7000) coins, i need 64, as you can see its going to take me awhile and its extremely time consumeing id be making more money faster if i was level 60 mining, so i can get into the mining guild that has 20+ coal rocks, instead of the 7 outside the guild that everyone else in the entire world fights over, and if i was like 1 more smelting level, so i can make steel plate bodys that can sell for more its hard fighting for ores, most of the time you dont get the ore, other players do, and everyone else is doing the same thing you are it looks like in the 50s level zone, its the hardest to be in, under 50 is easy, you can level up really fast, over 50, and things are unlocked for you that other players cant access like guilds to make your life easier, but in the 50s zone, you've got nothing, leveling up takes forever, and its very tetidous to level up cause you just gotta keep on doing the same thing over and over again.... anyways, in conculsion to my problems i find the game too time consuming to get as good as those level 100 players, its simply to hard and long to level up because there are so many other people getting in your way Runescape is over flooded, and right now, its a hard time to be were i am, im open to any suggetions or new ways, to make money faster, but mineing/smithing is the best way i know of i wish i was a member, that way i dont have to deal with all these noobs, but like im still in highschool, any kind of internet purchase i have to run by my parents, since i dont make the money, and at $5 a month ($7.50 canadian) we cant even afford that anyways, thats my opionion on it, so if you have no clue what im talking about, dont bother, dont start playing runescape now, were already too ful Edited March 30, 2005 by silver007 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

My friend has been playing since december and is lvl 55. Also he beat the dragon slayer quest at liek lvl 38 or summin, with ease. You dont play that much.
