hi deathsquad , i used the limit adjuster as intsructed and no i dont have anyother map mods, just dmagic wheel mod, a few costom cars and a modded skimmer.

@the hubster: Oy, I can't promise you that I'm going to be any help, but we can try. Vehicle/Weapon/Etc do not matter for the map mod, mainly map mods which you do not have any. Going to need to know some more information, namely What Version Are You Using (Current 2.0, 1.6, 1.5 or 1.0) of course I'm assuming 2.0, some sites though have yet to update, and what type it is, Manual Installation or VCM Installation? For the most part though as long as the limit adjuster was use, there should be no problems. You can try with the VC Limit Adjuster, add 100 to the DUMMY Number maybe that'll help. If you did the manual install, recheck your work, roughly around 50% on the loading bar is where either the Collision or IPL File gets loaded. And of course if you have the mission script, start a new game. Hopefully we can get this working, but as said, can't promise.

i am using version 2.0, i have tried upping the dummy's by 100, but to no avial, and i also get this message when it crashes:

unhandled exception: c0000005

at adress: 004105d1

 

i used the VCM installation.

@the hubster: Er...I hate to say it but I really don't have a clue then, I'm not a coder so that error message means very little to me (besides what it says). In all the construction and testing of the map mod I have never encountered such a hardcore error, just the softcore lockups and such. All I could recommend is installing a clean copy then installing the I420, but of course that's a medium deal of work. Sorry man confused.gif

 

Anyone try Happy Fun Time Island? I know its nothing pretty but I wanted to see if anyone else found the place entertaining to buzz around in. The best is at night since the model is so dark, kind of gives you that lost in the wilderness feel. I was wandering around today and this caught my eye.

After attempting Phenom Peenh '86 and first having Vance fly into Reaper Island, then of course after removing that having him run into the golf course off ramp, I figured I'd combine Happy Fun Time Island with the rest of it, removing Reaper Island and just keeping this. So far the outter road has texture and I placed the Graveyard in this area, built a wall around it and added a few things. Next is to relocate the power plant. If god smiles and this get released I'll update Knife's scripts with the coordinates.

 

I do find this island enjoyable when you want to get away from the city. Of course some ped paths and maybe vehicle paths on the road would spice things up. Just after playing that mission I got the urge to do this, Reaper Island was a good first attempt, but Happy Fun Time is more island like. The only b!t(h is that is takes up the eastern side of the map and blocks the water, not to mention overlaps where peds and boats are. I was thinking to make a tunnel running underneath so boats can pass, and the beach can suffer my wrath. But time to mod is so little now, any progress of course will be posted here, I'd say then on my web page but if you notice that's really out of date, sorry to those who download 1.6 not knowing there's a 2.0. Robot Chicken is on.....

Not possible to have both sadly, the only way for that to happen is for both "mission scripts" to be combined, namely the I420 Script added to Spaceeinstein's Script, since his changes are numberous. I have pondered getting permission from both Space & Knife and see if I'm capable of combining the two, I've had my time with C-Source Coding, so I have a good understanding of the scripts. But gods knows if I'll ever attempt, right now I'm more interested in getting more races down with the script.

It might be possible to combine Knife's script with mine. But first I need to finish up my mod and releasing it before San An is out. Sorry about the lack of progress in my paths. Way too busy with my mod/school (damn MCAS). I could use Barton's lot detection script for I-420 to enable/disable the features.

No worries on that Space, I must say that the I420 Project is on the back burners, my job has consumed me so I never find the time to further the work, and San An is just around the corner, I need to scramble to get a new graphics card and dvd-rom. My San-An plans are to build yet another interstate system, since I have a more well-planned idea of how to build one. I'd like to try and make a combo raised/grounded interstate, better and bigger ramps, what the I420 has is good for Vice but I think with the wide open space of San-An I can make even more realistic ramps. Instead of using generic pieces for the interstate, I want to try and more or less forge it as one giant map piece in Zmod, this would allow me to make smooth curves and no horrid overlapping and open spaces between the pieces. Even give the turns a slight enbankment like a highway would have. Maybe I'll attempt the original I76 plan of a dual 6 lane interstate, since that is more west-coast style, and of course I would make all new models and design.

got the mod working and i have to say, ITS ACE!! alien.gif . however, the limit adjuster seems to 'get rid of' traffic so i only install it occasionally for some fun smile.gifcookie.gifcookie.gifcookie.gif cookies to you biggrin.gif

I eventualy got this mod to work by reinstalling vice city, but it is hardly playable because it reduces my frame rate to about 15-30 fps. other than it being incredibly jerky, it is very cool. nice work.

@Space: Excellent work as always, at least from view, I have yet to try either the 3.0 All In One or the new update of paths.

 

@GRIM!: Sadly I can't say if that island will ever get released, or at least anytime soon. Sadly I no longer have the time to mod...yaa for real life. confused.gif

 

@the hubster: i'm on a p4 1.4 gig with a Geforce MX 400, which I'm guessing now that its almost 3 years old its pretty weak. Recommendations is to remove the Pastor Richard Salvation Statue and or the French Fregate, instructions are somewhere in the pages of old.

 

@splitty: Thanks, recommended to start a new game when replacing paths, at least that is what I've told. But I've also had it where a new game, once saved and loaded would make all the cars and peds disappear. Ain't modding fun...heh.

 

Well guys, I'm sad to say from my end that for the moment the I420 sits idle, minus updates from Space and or Knife. i'm sure I've said it before, I drive truck, specifically I'm an ICE Vender, and thus summer is coming and I start working 12+ days. So not much time to mod, work, eat, sleep, play from GTA. I will of course at some point do some mods with San-An as I've been saying, also as said I want to make an interstate system for San-An despite there is one. But I haven't really played it yet. As always any updates will be posted here and or my mini-site. Peace out. monocle.gif

GREAT GREAT MOD, but two questions...

 

1. Where did ALL of my traffic go?... I'm the ONLY car or person in the streets of Vice City! It's a ghost town...why?

 

2. How can I add everything except that large statue?...no offense! It's just too big for my taste.

 

Please help!

Why not there is lines of paths in two blue circles?

In the game,there are no car in two blue circles

Would you fix this problem?
