oreo321321 0
How do I configure my gamepad for Vice City so I can have stuff like gas and brake and look back and what not?
Samutz 87
As long as you have a DirectX compatible gamepad, it should work without any special configuration. Make sure Windows has the drivers for it installed and calibrated. And if you need to change the keys, go into options and redefine them the same way you would the keyboard. oreo321321 0
when I go to redefine, its just for the keyboard.............so.............
Wolf68k 10
Well whatever you do, just don't tell us what make and model of game pad you're using. Useful info like that never helps anyone.
Samutz 87
when I go to redefine, its just for the keyboard.............so............. Edit: Also, if you plan to use the gamepad while on foot, you migh want to change Standard Controls to Classic Controls. Edited March 24, 2005 by Samutz
Hobbes27 23
If I were you, I would just buy the playstation 2 to PC adapter, so that way you can plug in your controller, and it feels more comfertable. You can find one cheap here
oreo321321 0
didnt really think the brand or model would matter cause a game pad with most controlls is a game pad. and anyway, the game pad is tensun, its probably unknow, very cheap........14 dollars on ebay. The_Transporter735 0
well insert the game pad into the USB port. let it load and get recognised. then go in VC and go into configure and select the option [walk, open] and then press the key u want to set it to be. it should work. works when i set up my joystick. No, it would matter. Because most game pad makers include as part of their drivers a program that allow you to configure the buttons differently for each game and the program will detect which game is being played and use those configurations. However some don't and then you would have to find something that can configure the buttons for you. The buttons would act as key presses. And for that price you could have gotten got a known brand name gamepad refubished online from a dealer.
