colp4k
of course it is, the new regulations of having 1 engine for 2 weekends and 1 set of tires for the qualifying+race seem to have brought life back to the formula1, no more schumi taking it all, all the teams seem to be pretty even, toyota got it's first podium ever, and schumi came in 7th with NO PROBLEMS so his loss was the result of sucking, or just having no advantage like he did before, the point takers for the malaysian GP are as follows: 1.alonso 2.trulli 3.heidfield 4.montoya 5.R.schimacher 6.coulthard 7.M.Schumacher 8.Klien this is probably the best race i've seen in the past 2 years, or even 3. Mafia Drive Gunner
Yeah, it is really good that they are getting good publicity again, because by the sounds of it, F1 is back on it's feet. No more days where you see Shumi cross the finish line followed by half the opponents he overlapped. Looks like we have a new generation of motorsport on our hands. -MDG Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/184392-f1-new-generation/#findComment-2675208 Share on other sites
Dave
There have been a few good races over the last couple of years that have been omissed from some memories. However, I can't remember a more interesting race since possibly Brazil 2003. However, I can't remember a more interesting race since possibly Brazil 2003. I agree. Brazil 2003 was the only one where I didn't smoke a single cigarette or had any coffee to keep me awake for a second. Last year, when Schumacher won all the time I had a hard time to stay awake and being intrested in the race. It's getting better though. And Michelin Tyres = teh lose. {Matty}{Vice}
F1 is so much better this year, it competaitive and Ferrari aren't winning...i love it. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/184392-f1-new-generation/#findComment-2676270 Share on other sites
Chunky Lee Chong
The current F1 races have been spectacular. Although, today I was quite pissed about Kimi blowing his tires right after he came out of pit lane. I'm actually glad that Schumacher and Barrichello aren't doing the winning, because they weren't that great of "competitors" to support. cice
It was a great race. The Webber - Ralf Schumacher - Heidfeld incident on lap 32 was awesome. I was on the edge of my seat. However, F1 isn't fully recovered, there's still a lot of problems. Dave
consistency will be the key this season I believe so too. Anyone who can consistantly get onto the podium without necessarly winning has a massive chance. The Renaults look very good, but you can never write off Schumacher, I'm afraid. If Ralf Schumacher can keep up with Trulli, then Toyota could be a suprise this season. Just think, if Trulli would've managed to keep second in Melbourne, which he lost due to his tyres, he'd be winning the championship at the minute. He is a dark horse. Albeit a very dark horse in the shadows at night. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/184392-f1-new-generation/#findComment-2680989 Share on other sites
cice
If Ralf Schumacher can keep up with Trulli, then Toyota could be a suprise this season. hahahhahahaha. Sorry, I just don't rate Ralf Schumacher at all. He's got nothing on Trulli. That whole mess on lap 32 involving him, Webber and Heidfeld came about as a result of a bad move that he tried to make on Webber, essentially, he almost took himself out of the race, along with two Williams racers. $disturbed$
Yeah, doesn't look like "my boy" M. Schumacher is going to be winning every single damn race. Heh, it's all good though. As long as the rest of the F1 races this year will be as good as the past ones. dr zoidberg
ferrari really got punished for being so damn cocky and using last year's car. Dave
Well Montoya could miss Bahrain. Great chance for Pedro de la Rosa, who I used to rate really highly to show what he can do again. He's never been fortunate to have a good car, except the 2000 Arrows, which was lower midfield, and he f*cking caned that car to its limit. Chunky Lee Chong
I read in the newspaper that Montoya will be missing Bahrain. My friend told me that De La Rosa is his cousin. cice
I've heard that Montoya's injury could be 5 weeks to 4 months. Which could see De La Rosa in the McLaren for 3 races at least, if it's true. I doubt he'll win, but he could do well, if McLaren doesn't suffer from bad luck again. Chunky Lee Chong
Turns out De La Rosa is the cousin of a friend of mine at school. He told me that DLR should be at the French GP, so I told him I wanted to go. He said that DLR rejected tickets for family and friends. Either De La Rosa is a dumbass, or my friend is a liar. I don't think he's lying. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/184392-f1-new-generation/#findComment-2710454 Share on other sites
Dave
Sounds like he is lying to me. Obviously I don't know him though. PDLR has been my favourite for years, even as a test driver. I'm well pleased now he is racing. Also he is massive in Japan. Liuzzi will be racing soon, he'll be the next Schumacher, but in a good way. Chunky Lee Chong
Well, it's possible. PDLR is from Barcelona, atleast that's what I assumed in the paper. But, there are also five million other people who are eligible to be his cousin aswell, so I don't know. I'll have to wait until I'm in France to really know. Sucks that Montoya can't drive ... the arsehole should stop playing tennis all the time and breaking his bones. Remember, if you suck at it, don't do it. I am well pleased with De La Rosa driving on the other hand, too. So .. we'll see. Dave
Yeah, DLR is definitely no slouch. We'll see how he does. He'll win, but by how much? I still can't wait for Liuzzi though. I can't wait in two years to order my massive LIUZZI WORLD CHAMPION flag. cice
Apparently the F2005 is 1 second quicker than the F2004M. The problem for them is that the F2004M was about 1.5 seconds slower than Renault.
