xstevex
Sweet, glad to hear they're making a remake. Hope its not a big letdown like most recent remakes though.

Big Slow
God no. I have this sickening feeling they are going to f*cking ruin this movie. The original was entirely too badass to have a new remake. I have very little hope of this. Edit. Just realized it was starring Ryan Reynolds. Nothing like having Van Wilder play the main character. xstevex
Don't lose hope. There is a very slim chance that the movie will actually be decent, and will not end up a piece of trash like just about every other remake. Anyways, aren't there about 5 Amityville Horrors currently out? And for those who want to take a look, here is an early review. From the words of the reviewer, it looks like its gonna be pretty good. Devyl
The trailer for the movie actually seemed to be decent, so i'll be going to see this one.
Harlem
I'm sorry about the bump but I didn't want to make a new topic just for this. I've seen the first versions of this (1 & 2) and the trailer for the new one. I must say, I think this one looks a bit freakier. Things like windows slamming don't scare me but that zombie type guy (someone possessed) gave me the creeps.
The_Punisher
I have seen many comercials about the remake of Amityville horror, and it looks really good and scary. I highly doubt that they f*cked up the remake telling from the comericals and reviews. They say it based on a true story, but i really dont think that is true. But, then again i could be wrong so i am going to check into it later on and see if this is a true story or not.
Evil Gay
The same team that gave us texas chainsaw massacre revisited?!? Im not getting my hopes up. Getting explicit isnt the same thing as getting scary. What i find scary, is when i dont know WHATS going to happen, and not WHEN its going to happen. If they wanna take horror movies back to the 80's at least keep the dumb humor and politically incorrectness. The original texas was a mockery of armpitsville, USA and right in your face. Degenrates have never been this violated. Not even in "Deliverance" Texas revisited was basically just another jason type movie (gee, i wonder whos getting the big bad chainsaw in his belly next ?) Sorry to go off topic, but i just have an awersion to remakes, and ive seen quite a few.

Im fed up movies being remade and then f*cking ruined, doing the excellent originals the greatest injustice. I realise that its hard to create a totally original idea today but its no reason to drag good movies through the mire. Why cant they take an old idea that didnt work out too well and try to better it, rather than taking the easy route?
Tom Hagan
From the looks of it, this movie is going to be better than the origonal IMO. I like the new affects with the ghosts and such.

Delorean
I just saw it and I liked it. I really really liked it and I thought it was well directed. I think the ending was alittle to soft, and there were too many flash back kinda things but it was scary sh*t. HEY!!! how about that Baby Sitter
Reincarnated
HEY!!! how about that Baby Sitter Tell me about it, I was so pissed whenever she had to leave But it was a pretty funny movie for me, I mean, I know he was trying to be scary, but he said a lot of funny stuff. Like "You guys are f*cking stupid-- We're friends okay? friends, etc." Had some jumpy parts that scaried a lot of people in the theater. Definiatly take your gf to this one, she'll be all over you
Atomic
Saw it the other night, didnt like it much...not scarey enough... i like scarey movies, not freaky movies. it seems most "Scarey" ones are just freaky these days
The Guitarded Dude
If they go into the Hole in the basement instead of just looking at it for 5 minutes, it's all good to me. f*cking teasing director. ryan reynolds = HA
